Beccles, a popular holiday destination, is a pretty market town set on the River Waveney. An ideal base to sail up the river to take in the beautiful Norfolk Broads or visit the sandy beaches of Suffolk. As well as boating and riverside walks, there is golf, swimming and a wide variety of restaurants and shops. Beccles also has a train station. The town itself is dominated by the detached 16th century bell tower of St Michael's Church. It was in this church in 1749 that the mother of Horatio Nelson, Catherine Suckley married the Rev Edmund Nelson, a former curate of Beccles.

We had a lovely three days made even better by the cottage which was beautiful. The standard was exceptional with great added touches such as bath robes, slippers, bathing lotions, plenty of utensils and the welcome pack was super. Sitting outside in the garden for breakfast or lunch was lovely. Will definitely be going back.

  • Mrs G Burnikell

The property was in an excellent location close to Beccles Quay, and the town with a fantastic selection of shops and places to eat. The cottage was beautifully kept, spotlessly cleaned, very well equipped and with the best welcome pack had ever seen. Offering excellent value for money and hope to return.
