Views of the settlement of Shaldon and the peaks of Dartmoor may be viewed from the other side of Teignmouth. Folk and jazz festivals are held in Teignmouth each year, as well as carnivals and water regattas in the town and at Shaldon. The picturesque Dartmoor National Park, the city of Exeter, and the adjacent harbour towns are all worth experiencing if you opt to travel farther out from Teignmouth.
