Snaptrip says

The Hideaway at Burrow Hill is consistently praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and picturesque location. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including welcome packs and dog biscuits. The cottage's charm, coupled with its proximity to beaches and towns, makes it a highly recommended stay. The garden and views are particularly lauded, although the steep access and lack of microwave are noted.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers frequently mention the spotlessness of the cottage, indicating a very high level of cleanliness that contributes positively to their overall experience.

The location is described as beautiful and peaceful, with lovely views and proximity to the coast and local amenities. Some guests mention the narrow access roads, but this does not significantly detract from the overall positive reception of the location.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, noting the cosy atmosphere, warm fire, and large comfy bed. A few comments about the furniture and steep stairs suggest a slight deduction from an otherwise excellent comfort rating.

The property is well-equipped for a pleasant stay, though a few guests missed having a microwave and noted the small kitchen size. The lack of a secure garden for pets and slow internet are minor concerns.

The hosts are frequently commended for their thoughtfulness, including welcome packs and treats for both guests and pets. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is politely noted that such extras are subject to change and not guaranteed.

Further afield is the vibrant University city of Exeter, where you'll be spoilt for choice with the exciting range of attractions on offer, including the history of moving image on display at Bill Douglas Cinema Museum, or partake in a guided tour through the medieval underground passageways that used to transport water under the city, and if you time it right, you might even catch Devon's Premiership rugby team, the Exeter Chiefs, play at Sandy Park. The cottage is very rural but well positioned for walking, the coast, NT properties, the Exe estuary and Exeter.

The place offered tranquility and rustic charm allowing for a restful few days. A great area to explore and some beautiful country walks with our dog. Thank you Nicki & Ben.

Conscious that space is tight in kitchen but a small microwave would be brilliant. You should sell the sunset over the pond experience- absolutely stunning- assuming there is a setting sun!!!
