The property has been sympathetically restored, retaining much of the character of the original building. The recent conversion means the cottage benefits from the added comforts of pristine new bathrooms as well as a stunning modern fitted kitchen, outdoor patios and a games room. Environmentally-friendly under floor heating make this a great choice for out-of-season breaks too.  The history of the property has been cleverly captured by retaining artefacts set into the rafters to display the original farm machinery that was used to drive the cider making process in the last century.  The surrounding countryside is perfect for walking and the beautiful coast, famous for its fossil beaches is just 5 miles away.  The beautiful Jurassic coast of East Devon and West Dorset is easily accessible by car; the popular coastal resorts of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis are both within 20 minute's drive.

Location

The farm is surrounded by lush countryside and overlooks a peaceful rural valley.  A short drive away are the popular coastal towns of Seaton, Beer, Charmouth, Lyme Regis and West Bay.  The popular Seaton Tramway, running along the Axe estuary, stops nearby offering a relaxing way to discover the local area. The whole of the Jurassic Coast, now a World Heritage site, is within easy reach.  The lovely West Dorset seaside town of Lyme Regis is only about 15 minutes away by car with its sandy beach and seafront promenade.  The town includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Fish Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms.  For those that enjoy a culinary treat, celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage shop and restaurant is a short drive away in the East Devon market town of Axminster.

French doors from the dining area lead to a private terrace at the front of the property with garden furniture and bench seating.  Another set of French doors to the rear give access to the courtyard with further seating and a games room.  Split level lounge, steps leading down from dining area to a large living room with multiple two seater sofas and accompanying chairs, coffee table and 55'' flat screen TV.  Ground floor Bedroom 1: King size bed and en suite Wet room and w.c.  First floor Bedroom 2: King size bed. Bedroom 3: Twin 3ft single beds. Family bathroom with shower over bath and WC.  Bedroom 4: 4ft 6 inch double bed and separate shower room and w.c. 

Outside: private terrace area with furniture at the front of the property.  Courtyard at the rear of the property with sole use of the games room with table tennis, full size pool table, darts and comfortable seating and games compendium.

Ample parking at the front of the property. Shop: 1 mile. Pub: 1 mile. Beach: Seaton 3 miles or Lyme Regis 7 miles.  One well-behaved dog welcome. No smoking. Arrival 3.00pm - departure 10.00am. Arrival day for weekly bookings Saturday.
