About this Holiday Cottage

Welcome to Syms Cottage in Cutcombe, a delightful period property in the heart of Exmoor National Park which is perfect for both family breaks and walking holidays. Situated on the slopes of the moor towards Dunkery Beacon, the property is full of character and has a date stone marked 1831. The wood burner stove helps create a warming ambience in the winter and guests can also enjoy the views from the furnished courtyard garden. 

Inside

The charming lounge is furnished in a contemporary style and includes an inglenook fireplace with wood burner stove, a large sofa armchair and 4K 40" TV with Freesat service. There is also a dining area seating four and the kitchen is well appointed with a fridge with freezer compartment, small oven with three ring hob, microwave, four slice toaster and kettle. Plenty of cookware, utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses are also supplied.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

The two double bedrooms are set on the first floor and include a wonderful master bedroom offering fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. The family bathroom is situated on the ground floor and is furnished with an overhead electric shower, WC and hand basin. The downstairs sofa can be converted into a sofa bed if any guests would prefer to sleep downstairs. 

Outside

Guests can relax in the small courtyard garden to the front with bistro table, two chairs and a wooden bench.

Electricity, heating costs plus an initial supply of fuel for the wood burner are included

The kitchen has a small stock of non-perishables items such as salt, pepper and cooking oil

Basic cleaning materials are supplied in the cottage along with a couple of loo rolls

Availability

Short breaks of one night or more may be available. Last minute discounts of up to 20% may also be possible and we can offer a 10% discount for bookings of two weeks or more.

One medium or two small dogs may be accepted at an extra charge of £25 each per stay. Larger dogs may also be considered on request. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the furniture, upstairs and must not be left alone in the property at any time.
