A super, comfortable, cosy cottage in a great location with caring hosts. The scones, jam and clotted cream were delicious. Thank you. I’m sure we will return.

Had an amazing stay at River Lodge. The beautiful cottage had everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. The cottage is surprisingly large, lots of space to spread out and felt like a real home away from home (so often these sorts of places or squeezed into a tiny footprint, but not here!)The welcome treats were very much welcome as was the host popping the heating on just before our arrival so that it was even more welcoming. The communication with the host was perfect for us. We talked about arrival times and other details as and when needed. I always felt like Kirstie was available when needed without being over present. This cottage is highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore south east Cornwall (especially nearby Looe.) or further afield. (The onsite parking is very useful and valuable.)My only comment to potential guests would be to pick up supplies on your way as the local village does not have a store, and the nearest stores are a bit of a (pleasant)walk into Polperro.
