Providing beautiful holiday accommodation and overlooking the South Cornwall coast, these two properties (refs UK11038 and UK11039) ) are just minutes’ from the beaches of Carlyon Bay and Porthpean. The Carlyon Bay Hotel is nearby and has bars, restaurants and a golf course that overlooks the sea. The historic village of Charlestown with its pubs, museum, restaurants and shops is nearby and is home to traditional tall ships which are often moored at the quay. The seafaring towns of Fowey, Truro, Padstow, St Ives, Looe, Polperro, Newquay, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and many National Trust houses and gardens are all within easy reach. Cycling, sailing, kayaking and horse riding are available locally. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

The Bunker is in a great location, with many great attractions within a very short drive, some just minutes away, and the beach is a short walk and excellent for dog owners.Alas, the property has some short comings. There is no welcome pack provided, so if you book ensure you bring tea, coffee and milk and anything else you may need on arrival.A temperamental toilet flush, that also causes the water in drain in the shower to gurgle up through drain outlet when toilet is flushed. The oven is rather loud too, paired with a two ring induction hob, and bring your ownnt coffee. cafetiere if you like decent coffee.The Bunker is also connected to a larger property with a connecting door, and sound travels easily between the two properties, and the 5am start of those departing next door woke us up, not the renters fault, just poor sound insulation The fridge has a tiny freezer compartment, big enough for two bag of peas, so your option for storing frozen items will be very limited.We only found the information sheet on the property facilities and bin collection, buried at the back of a cupboard behind the hoover when we came to use it near the end of our stay.If you only want a base to sleep, then you can ignore the niggles then it could be ideal

Perfect location and base for sightseeing and close to the beach and coastal path. Accommodation was basic and clean and had the essentials. Would have been nice to have a small welcome pack - tea, coffee and milk as no local shops walkable nearby and At least some kitchen/bathroom spray. Flush on toilet very dodgy and settee not that comfy. Converted into a bed but wouldn't recommend it.Attached to another holiday let and a locked door separates them and could hear through quite clearly. A little off putting and glad they had no children or noisy dog. Be aware that it is next to the railway line and though trains not that often can be heard. Property is also on a bend in the road and driveway steep. Best to reverse onto but still a little bit tricky as a relatively busy road.

Fantastic location. Walked down to the beach and into Charlestown very easily. Cottage was one of the cleanest I have stayed in. Great WiFi reception. Lots of storage for clothes in the bedroom. We had an issue with the toilet which was sorted by a very efficient emergency contact and an emergency plumber....within hours. My only complaint would be the kitchen is very difficult to use as it's badly arranged. Enjoyed the holiday.
