The Sail Room in St Mawes offers a charming and well-appointed studio apartment in a superb location, ideal for exploring the village and nearby walks. Guests consistently praise the comfortable bed, convenient parking, and proximity to local amenities. While the property is generally clean and airy, some visitors noted occasional lapses in cleanliness and maintenance. The apartment is best suited for solo travellers or couples, as storage space is limited. Steep steps and hills may challenge those with mobility issues, but overall, it provides a relaxing and enjoyable base for a Cornish getaway.
Most guests found the apartment clean and airy, but several reviews mention issues such as dusty surfaces, dog hairs, cobwebs, and a dirty bathroom floor. These inconsistencies suggest that while cleanliness is generally acceptable, there is room for improvement.
The location is highly praised, with guests loving the proximity to St Mawes, beautiful walks, and local amenities. The steep hill and steps are noted, but do not detract significantly from the overall positive impression.
The bed is frequently described as comfortable and luxurious, and the apartment is considered cosy and well laid out. However, limited storage and occasional comments about the mattress and space for two people slightly reduce the score.
Facilities such as parking, kitchen, and shower are appreciated, but some guests mention inadequate cooking equipment, lack of Wi-Fi, broken blinds, and insufficient storage. Maintenance issues like missing bulbs and unclear refuse instructions are also noted.
There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

The Sail Room in StMawes, was a lovely airy studio apartment. When I arrived I found it to be clean , a comfortable bed, everything you would need as a solo or couple travelling. My only complaint would be that there was no Wi-Fi or 4G connection and being there on my own was a little bit isolating. The walk from the town to the accommodation was not for the faint hearted, a very very steep hill but the challenge was good.A lovely helpful housekeeper , and a beautiful place.

A lovely studio apartment. Clean and great location. The Sail Room has its own parking space, a lovely little kitchen and spacious shower. The bed is huge but the join was a bit uncomfortable and the mattress a little on the soft side. The apartment has large patio doors which open up on to a narrow patio. There’s plenty of room for garden chairs. However, the small grassed area was surrounded by danger net with a dangerous drop. Overall, a few small tweaks (more toilet paper and a full length mirror) but would definitely recommend. A very easy place to stay, good to be so close to amenities and the beach, and beautiful surroundings.

Great to have a parking space and comfortable and spacious One of the window blinds was completely broken and the garden has no fence and a steep drop. I asked for twin beds but it was a double. A bit more attention to detail needed ...1 out of 3 bulbs working in kitchen
