About this property

Looe River House is a beautiful holiday home overlooking the striking Looe River and the vibrant countryside beyond. Bright and spacious, the house has been immaculately decorated, with modern features and fittings blending seamlessly into the character and unique architectural details. The house is just a 10-minute walk from Looe Town, with access to shops, restaurants, the train station and the beach, so you can simply rock up and relax, getting the most out of every moment of your holiday!

Recently renovated, there is a luxurious feel to the whole property, with an attention to detail that makes your stay truly special. The front door opens into a spacious hallway, leading through to the modern kitchen, and the open-plan social living areas. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a big breakfast table for your whole family to gather around together. The lounge boasts a large Italian leather L shape settee, where you can all sit together facing the cosy log burner. There are also two sophisticated armchairs, positioned by the window to overlook the river and countryside views: our favourite reading spot! The elegant dining room has seating for six people, with double doors leading onto the magnificent decking area, where you can relax in the day and watch sunsets at night, soaking in the tranquil surroundings.

The house itself sleeps up to eight guests, with four beautiful bedrooms, all of which boast tranquil river views. On the top floor of the house, the master bedroom boasts double doors to a balcony, with gorgeous river views and a small table for two for a little added romance. This bedroom has its own en-suite, as does the other double bedroom, whilst the twin bedroom and bunk bedroom both share the luxury family bathroom.

With a train station within walking distance, alongside all your essential amenities, it is your choice whether you travel the area, or stay in the beautiful town of Looe. Cornwall is famed for its endless blue skies, glistening beaches and wildflower-strewn clifftops and Looe River House is the perfect base for exploring them all. A real gem by the Sea, you’ll be wanting to return every year!

Looe River House is located in the seaside town of Looe, just a 10-minute walk from the centre of town. With beautiful views over the river and countryside beyond, the setting of this modern holiday home is very idyllic. There is parking for two cars at the property, as well as the Looe train station, just a short walk down the road, so you can get about with ease.

Looe may be a small seaside town, but it keeps visitors entertained all year round, whilst still working as a fishing port. Evenings can be spent watching the boats return, before dining at a fresh fish restaurant, knowing the produce is as fresh as it can be! The town prides itself on its fresh fish, and be it award winning fish and chips near the river or gourmet menus in smart restaurants overlooking the harbour, we can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Of course, Cornwall is well known for its blue skies, glistening beaches and wildflower-strewn clifftops, and Looe is no different. The South West Coast Path, which runs for hundreds of miles along the West Country southern coastline, passes through the town itself, so you can walk for miles along the rugged, rolling coast, taking in the magnificent scenery that Cornwall has to offer. There are more walks along the two rivers that flow inland, so there is plenty to keep you occupied during your stay.

Looe’s main beach offers idyllic golden sand, sloping gently into the sea for safe swimming. On a rainy day, you can visit the Looe Museum, learning about the smuggling of past, the town’s railway heritage and ghost stories from years gone by!

For a livelier occasion, Looe has been reported to be one of the top places in the UK to celebrate New Year, with fabulous costumes and a brilliant firework display that is a pure joy to watch! In the summer months, Looe Music Festival is also one of the most poplar big outdoor music event in Cornwall, held on the beach and around the town with big names playing in this beautiful setting.
