"Can’t recommend this cottage enough. Upon arrival we were greeted with a bowl of water for our dog and some dog biscuits, milk in the fridge, mince pies and a lovely bottle of Prosecco for us, which was a really lovely gesture. The cottage is very well equipped, we were able to cook a full Christmas dinner and didn’t need to take or buy any additional equipment. The cottage is lovely and clean and the beds are really comfortable. The owners, who live next door, are lovely and very helpful - we had an issue on the first night when we couldn’t get the sky tv to work. They got an engineer arranged who sorted it all out for us the very next morning. Location is excellent with some lovely walks right on your doorstep. The only negative is that a week wasn’t long enough to really enjoy all that the area has to offer. Will definitely be back."

"A lovely cottage very near to the village with pub. Nice country walks from the front door. Lots of beautiful places nearby. Weather didn’t allow us to use the garden, but it looked out towards the woods and there were lots of different birds. Really peaceful. Yummy homemade cake on our arrival too."

"A property in a lovely village, wonderful to see everybody out on their horses!! Exford does suffer from a lack of a general store - great for pubs and a tea room but a car journey to buy milk and paper!! Lovely cottage, very clean and wonderful, welcoming homemade cake too!!"

"Beautiful cottage in Exford where we spent a great week. The cottage is well equipped and the owner Lesley and Kevin live next door. The extra touches ie bottle of wine, fresh flowers and a very tasty cake we’re very much appreciated .........the cake was yummy! The cottage is a short walk on country lanes into Exford where there are 2 good hotels that do good food and there is a cafe.Exford is a very pretty village in the Exmoor National park so the local scenery is outstanding and there is plenty to do. We had our 2 dogs with us and they were welcome wherever we went. Plenty of walks and rivers for them to cool off in.Would highly recommend this beauty!"

"Great holiday cottage. Slight drawback in that you can’t walk to the visage. There are no pavements and the grass verge is banked and impossible to walk on."

"Lovely homely cottage, clean and Comfortable with a great courtyard garden. We were welcomed with wine, and a delicious freshly baked sponge. The cottage was also filled with fresh flowers, which was a lovely touch. We had a great relaxing week helped by good weather."

"Very pleasant bijou cottage, well appointed....a walk into village though through narrow lanes..."
    Peter ‐ 7 Jun 2019
"Cottage is very comfortable. The owners go that extra mile with some lovely touches flowers a splendid homemade cake. On arrival the weather was terrible on entering the cottage a log fire was lit so warm and cozy and as the weather continued in that vein it was lovely to light that fire in return from our days out. We would love to go back at a different time of year as there is an area in the garden to sit out and look at the lovely views. The people we met were so friendly and you can take your dog everywhere even in the posh shops it was amazing."

"Lovely lazy week just what we needed. Weather improved as week went on. Lesley and Kevin there if you need them. Area lovely and quiet you can do as little or more if you want. Two local pubs very welcoming and dog friendly."
    Anne ‐ 1 May 2019
"We had a lovely rest in this delightful cottage but as we know the area very well we didnt sight-see as much as other guests might wish to. There are plenty of great trails to follow - literally from the doorstep. It was like a home from home for us and our doggies loved their walks and different smells to read. The kitchen is very well equipped for eating in. We would definitely book again - there is lots to do at any time of year and plenty of lovely pubs with great food to relax in."
