"Cosy cottage. Great location. Perfect for walkers and our spaniels loved it!"
    Sarah ‐ 30 Oct 2018
"A traditional cottage well modernised, main bedroom and shower room quite small but adequate and bedlinen of high quality. Comfortably warm in the evening. Every amenity for our 2 dogs with safe courtyard garden. Just down the road they could have a lovely morning run in the woods before setting off in the car exploring. Nothing too much trouble for the owners next door and welcoming cake lasted for ages - the dogs' biccies did not!! Parking was a little way from the front door which had steep steps which might be too much for very elderly guests. We thoroughly recommend this property."

"The cottage is beautifully appointed - we loved wood burner, the host and daughter were amazing and stepped up.... Great place and base to explore Exmoor - We will return, totally amazing THANK YOU to owner who really care, a special quality in life - THANK YOU"

"Lovely cosy beautifully furnished cottage. The owners were friendly and very welcoming. We were treated to fresh flowers, a fantastic homemade cake and a bottle of wine on our arrival. Fresh milk ready in the fridge so we were able to have a cuppa after our journey.Very peaceful location surrounded by stunning countryside. We would love to visit again.Dogs made welcome too, treats to greet them."

"Had a fantastic Holiday, the owners were very welcoming (wine, cake and milk waiting for us) Cottage is cosy and well equiped, couldn't fault it. A short walk from the cottage is a ford where you can cross the river for lovelly woodland dog walks in the morning, I would thoroughly recomend a meal at the Crown Inn in Exford, best meal we had during our stay, Ideally situated for exploring exmoor, the only improvement I can think of would be to move the pub a little closer to the cottage."

"We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and warm homemade Victoria sandwich and freshly cut flowers. The owners were lovely and the cottage beautiful and spotless. We have stayed in a few places over the years but Fir View tops it all. Credit to the ow era"

"This was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed at. The place was spotless, with small touches added by the owners on our arrival, which made us feel very welcome. The owners were on hand if we needed them, but everything was superb. The location, in the heart of Exmoor was ideal for seeing so much of the local area, but also for travelling further afield. We would definitely go back. Don't miss this lovely cottage!"

    "Amazing! In every way."
    Sean ‐ 13 May 2018
"The only issue we had with this lovely cottage was the lack of a grassed area for the dogs. The road outside is dark at night and taking the dogs out last thing at night was difficult. Otherwise a perfect cottage in a perfect location"

"Lovely snug, well equipped cottage in sunken lane just outside Exford. Welcomed with home-made cake, milk and a bottle of wine. Log burner fabulous and needed as we had rain, some sun and snow whilst there. Cooking utensils great - even a cafetiere. Would have liked a steamer (for veg). Bed - really comfortable and warm, used hot water bottle first night but not needed even on coldest nights as duvet really warm. Struggled to get the TV to work but used DVD instead. Would have like a radio for Radio 4 and news - but did us good to have a break.Could walk dog straight out along lanes, footpaths and bridle ways for morning walk. Explored that area visiting Dunster, Minehead, Doone Valley (pretty in the snow flurries), Lynton/Lynmouth and loads more.Would definitely use this cottage again."

"A beautiful country cottage, comfortable and well equipped. Outside courtyard area with loads of visiting birds. Cake, wine, flowers and milk left by owners so considerate. We had to cut our stay short due to the snow but hope to return again."
