"Lovely cottage. Nearby road is a little noisy."

"This was the first cottage we have rented, so we have nothing to compare it to.It was very clean, welcoming and the welcome gift appreciated, but although we were warned about the noise from the road, it was louder than we thought. Disturbed both nights by idiots driving noisy cars, nothing to do with the property, just it’s location."

"Cosy Nook, right in the heart of Cromford, is a fabulous location for the Derbyshire Dales. Great walks straight out of the door and short drives to attractions such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. Matlock Baths is in easy walking distance and has plenty of coffee shops/ tea rooms that welcome your dog! A ten minute walk down the hill brings you to Cromford Mills ...do visit! The cottage is well equipped (we didn't need it but there's a washing machine - not always the case). The wifi worked perfectly, there's TV and radio and a wide selection of DVDs to choose from - and a big comfy sofa to watch from. Although glorious September weather meant we didn't need heating, hot water was readily available.Mind your head between rooms if you are tall, and likewise the narrow windy staircase might be awkward for some - although these are features that are part of the cottage's genuine charm."

"A lovely cottage with great amenities and a good location. The small yard was a lovely sun trap. Great village with shops, cafes, pubs and a tapas bar. Locals all very friendly and great location for walking. The cottage is on a busy road so there is some traffic noise throughout the day, but quiet overnight."

"Location was excellent for things to do, however this cottage is on an extremely busy, fast and noisy road and with no double glazing or sound proofing to the cottage we were woken up very early each morning by the lorries thundering past"
    Theresa ‐ 8 May 2019
"Cosy Nook is a lovely little cottage, but..... the traffic noise is quite bad and vehicles come down the hill far far faster than the limit so be careful when crossing the road also there is no garden area not even a terrace like the photos appear to make you think there is, it's just a thin path to the back gate, if of course this does not bother you then all good"

"Lovely cottage. Home from home. Great break"
    Yvonne ‐ 20 Mar 2019
"Lovely cottage, perfect for a couple. It was very cosy, comfortable & we very much enjoyed our stay. Cromford is a great historical village - it was good to have pubs, shops, etc within walking distance. We especially enjoyed a pint or two in the Boat Inn by the log fire in an early evening. We had no problem parking and always found a space in the lay-by. Yes the road is noisy & the property would benefit from improved glazing to help with the noise reduction, however the traffic died down of an evening & it was very quiet at night - it would not put me off returning. If you want a lovely cottage in a great location then Cosy Nook is idea!"

"Absolutely lovely stay. Very welcoming, clean and comfortable cottage. Lots of local amenities on your door step and everything you would need for your break provided by the owners. Would definitely stay again"

"Cosy Cottage is just that! On entering the property you are met with a warm welcoming lounge then through a door to the kitchen which has all you need to make a stay here comfortable. Through a latched door up the stairs leading to the one large double bedroom and the small but functional bathroom. The cottage is located on a buy road, which I would say was the only drawback as it was noisy for a lot of the time, with big lorries driving past. However, the positive side is that the cottage is located within easy walking distance to the centre of Cromford, local pubs, Cromford Mill, Cromford Canal and Masson Mill shopping complex. If you want to drive, then the National Stone Centre is about 5 minutes up the hill as is Middleton Top. I drove to Carsington Water which isn't that far either. There are lots of places to visit, some of which were closed due to it being low season. Matlock and Matlock Bath are also a nearby drive away. The cottage owners were excellent regarding sending instructions prior to my arrival. They were on hand to help when the CO3 alarm went off on the first evening and swapped it for another making sure that all was OK before leaving. They were kind enough to leave me a small welcome gift and also a small treat for my dog! All in all a great break away in a lovely part of The Peak District"

"We came to Cromford as it offered great walks and scenery and lots to see and learn about. Cosy Nook was a real gem of a place to stay. It was very 'Cosy' and just what we needed. There was not enough time in a weekend to cover what we wanted to, so we will definitely return."
    Anthony ‐ 18 Jan 2019
"Excellent break - only negative is the heavy lorry traffic"
    Vicki ‐ 2 Jan 2019
"Beautiful cottage- comfortable and well equipped. Ideal location for exploring the Derwent Valley no need to use the car. Lovely touches of milk for a nice cup of tea on arrival and some Prosecco to celebrate the season. Highly recommend"

"We are returning guests having stayed at the Cozy Nook Cottage last year (2017), we will also come back here again in the future. The cottage is very homely and well equipped, (gas cooker, washing machine, fridge and separate freezer, bath and shower, plus towels are also supplied). The cottage is very homely with a log effect fire in the living room that warms the room up really quickly. Upstairs there's plenty of storage space and theres also a supply of games, books and dvd's in the cottage."

"Great location for walking, good amenities in the village with lots of history.Ally very friendly and helpful, responded quickly to a couple of concerns."

"The cottage is lovely inside, well equipped and offered great value for money. The welcome gift was a lovely touch. Cromford is great for access to lots of walks and attractions. The cottage is on a busy road which I'm not used to and therefore I found it a little noisy, otherwise I had a very comfortable stay."
