If you like outdoor adventures such as walking, cycling and climbing, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg, Catbells, Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn to name a few. Situated at on the end of Keswick, you can easily walk into the town centre and leave the car behind. Either just cross over the road and walk through Fitz Park to the town or follow the River Greta, either way, it’s a simple 10-minute stroll into the town centre, ½ mile away.
Keswick is vibrant with a great outdoor market and plenty of places to eat and drink. Its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and obligatory outdoor and fashion brands, along with plenty of delis, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. Famous for its narrow streets and courtyards, this traditional market town is one not to be missed. If you like culture, check out the theatre by the lake, 1½ miles, with award-winning arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater, 1¾ miles, where you can hire a rowing boat.
For family fun just over a mile away, why not try Puzzling Place, a mind-boggling attraction based on optical illusions, or the Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world? Or, for a really wild day out, try The Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite, or The Lakes Distillery, offering daily tasting and tours, both 8 miles away. We had a lovely stay here good location , nice house , needs a really good clean very dusty round sides of carpet things never been moved in bedroom , porch really mucky and kitchen cupboards , good shower , clean comfy beds .

Our second time at Tyndale this year.We like it's spacious interior from kitchen,lounge and bedrooms.Large smart TV. Kitchen appliances are dated but sufficient for our needs Ideal enclosed garden for our dog. Could do with more garden furniture as only two metal chairs however properly supports 6 guests.On our previous visit we commented that the info folder was out of date but this had been remedied by the owner's supplying upto date information.One negative for us and mentioned on previous visit, was area around the cooker needs deep clean to remove visible grease . Otherwise would recommend

Nice big house with a lovely back garden and off road parking close to everything very good location. Only down side is not very clean mucky under the sofas and under the cushions lots of cobwebs windows could of done with a clean inside and out and needed a good dusting . It looks like its just the bedding and towels get changed and a wipe round in bathroom is all that gets done between guests . We even had to clean the grill before we used it .double bed could do with a new mattress u dip in the middle but other than that was a nice stay
