Guests say

Tynedale is a well-regarded cottage in Keswick, praised for its great location, comfortable beds, and spaciousness. The enclosed garden is a hit with dog owners, and the proximity to the town centre and park is appreciated. Guests enjoy the off-road parking and the powerful shower, with some noting the property as a cosy, home-from-home experience.

Cleanliness is generally good, but some guests reported issues such as greasy oven trays, dusty surfaces, and the need for better cleaning of kitchenware. However, several guests found the cottage clean and tidy upon arrival.

The location is highly praised for its convenience, being a short walk from the town centre and directly opposite Fitz Park. The easy access to local amenities and walking routes contributes to its excellent location score.

Guests find the beds very comfortable and the cottage cosy, contributing to a high comfort score. Some guests suggested improvements such as additional mirrors and TVs in bedrooms, but overall the comfort level is well-regarded.

Facilities are generally good with a well-appointed kitchen, off-road parking, and a secure garden. Some guests noted a small fridge/freezer and lack of certain kitchen utensils as areas for improvement. Maintenance issues like defrosting the freezer and updating the information folder were also mentioned.

While guests appreciate the overall experience, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

We stayed for a week at this very spacious cottage with everything you could possibly need. For the most very clean, a few cobwebs. Only 2 complaints and this is not the fault of the owners of this cottage, but previous guests have not picked up their dogs mess. I did my own dogs but refused to go about picking up others. Which isnt great at night in the dark. Also as we have a tiny 2.5kg maltipoo the garden wasnt enclosed, but would be for larger dogs. Also the bins, everyone has just put what ever rubbish they felt like in all bins. We also out the bin out to be emptied which wasnt done. But would stay here again in a heartbeat. Loved the nice touch of the bottle of wine on arrival.

We had a lovely stay for Christmas week, Thankyou so much for the Christmas tree. The house was in a great location, with lovely views. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. My only issue was no mirror in the second bedroom. We would definitely stay here again, added bonus of a parking space. Thankyou for giving us wonderful memories

Really liked the house but just needed a few changes that would make it so much better. 1 a small hose (just a couple of foot) on the tap at the side of the house to wash the dog down and keep carpets clean. 2 house number on bins and better info for recycling. 3 more than 1 loo roll in toilet. 4 maybe a gate at the side of the house to stop dog going from back garden to the front. 5 litter bins in living room and bathroom. 6 a boot tray under the coat hooks in the hall to keep carpets clean. 7 a set of tongues in the kitchen. I know it all sounds a bit picky but all are meant in a constructive manner, we would definitely stay again.
