Guests say

Shepherds Cottage in Millom is highly praised for its cleanliness, peaceful countryside setting, and friendly hosts. Guests appreciate the cosy log burner, secure garden for dogs, and the provision of essentials upon arrival. While some mention minor issues with hot water and steep stairs, the overall experience is one of relaxation and comfort, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests consistently commend the cottage for its spotless condition, with multiple reviews highlighting the cleanliness as a standout feature.

The cottage's quiet, rural setting next to a farm is appreciated for its tranquility and scenic beauty. Its proximity to local attractions and the sea is also noted, although some mention poor mobile signal.

The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable, with well-equipped kitchens and comfy beds. However, some guests found the stairs steep and the beds a bit too firm.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a good WiFi service and cosy log burner. However, there are comments about a shortage of hot water, flies, and the need for better lighting and mirror placement.

Guests mention thoughtful touches like milk, biscuits, and coffee provided on arrival, which are greatly appreciated. It is politely noted that such gifts, while delightful, are not guaranteed.
