Guests say

3 Catherine Cottages in Keswick is a cosy and well-liked holiday rental with its own parking. Guests appreciate its quiet location, proximity to the town centre, and the warmth and comfort it provides. While some find the decor dated and the kitchen tight for four adults, the cottage's charm and amenities like a coffee machine and gas fire are praised. The private parking is a bonus, though the approach can be narrow for larger vehicles.

The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While some guests did not comment on this aspect, one mentioned subpar cleaning standards and an unpleasant odour. However, this seems to be an isolated incident rather than a common theme.

The location is highly praised for being quiet, convenient, and within walking distance to Keswick's town centre. The availability of private parking, despite being tight, is also seen as a significant advantage.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, mentioning its cosy atmosphere and warm heating. However, some noted that the double bed is small and the dining area can feel cramped for four adults, slightly affecting the comfort score.

The cottage is well-equipped with a coffee machine and large TV, but guests noted a lack of basic items like toilet rolls, sufficient cutlery, and a bottle opener. The maintenance issues with a toilet and the need for cleaner carpets were also pointed out.

There are no mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Everything was fine but there was no toilet rolls on arrival. We had to go toilet roll shopping at 9 o’clock in the evening.

The cottage is in a great location, very quiet and in close walking distance to the town centre - the parking is a little tight but passable. The cottage itself is a little dated and tired for our taste, and the carpets need cleaning/replacing. The kitchen is quite well equipped - the coffee machine was a welcome bonus but while there are many mugs/plates etc than the household would need there are only four knives and forks and no bottle opener. The heating is good and makes the cottage warm and cosy quickly once it is turned up. We wouldn't stay in the property again due to its style/age of furnishings but we will certainly look for other properties on the street as its in a perfect spot.
