"Being keen walkers with our lovely Border Collie this was the perfect place to stay. Easy access to the whole of Dartmoor and the most perfect pub practically on the doorstep. We had everything we needed and can't wait to go back and stay again.Sally was very kind and helpful. Absolutely spot on."

    "A great week."

"Annie’s Cottage is a very well equipped and thought out dwelling. It is ideal for a couple and a small to medium size dog. It is very clean with modern up to date equipment. There is a large modern shower cubicle rather than a bath, which suited us perfectly. The village is very picturesque with a small river running through it. It is tight for large vehicles, but typical for Devon. There are no shops or stores but the village pub, ‘The who’d have thought it’ is a jewel. It’s dog friendly, serves good food and has a selection of beers including guest ales. The staff are very friendly and obliging. The location is ideally suited for exploring Plymouth and the surrounding area, being just on the edge of Dartmore, it’s literally minutes before you are away from the tight Devon roads and onto the slightly wider but open moorland roads. There are also a number of walks from the Cottage, so it is possible to go car free if you wish. All in all an excellent choice."

"A fantastic cottage. Clean and comfortable with everything that you could think of. Don’t worry if you have forgotten about a bottle opener because the owners haven’t and the cream tea they left for us on arrival was the best in Devon. Narrow lanes the only negative, but you get used to them."

"A great place to stay in a quiet Devon village"

"Annies cottage was charming: cosy, well thought out and practical.Basically we wanted for nothing making our stay a most relaxing and enjoyable experience. Milton Combe itself is a lovely little village with the icing on the cake being " Who'd Of Thought It" pub.The location, being slap in the middle of the beautiful Tamar Vally makes it an ideal base for walking and visiting National Trust Properties, with Buckland Abbey being only a mile up the road. Can't wait to return."

"We had a wonderful short break at Annie’s cottage. Sally and Christopher were very welcoming but not intrusive. Very comfortable cottage and beautifully refurbished to a high standard. The moor is great and very local for exploring. The village the cottage is in is quaint and friendly and the local pub excellent and very dog friendly! We hope to visit again and have a longer stay next time."

"The cottage was everything we needed for the two of us to enjoy a few days walking up on the moor and enjoying local National Trust properties. The bedroom with its delightful high ceiling, overlooks a stream with ducks and some chickens in a nearby garden. The bed is very comfortable and the shower in the generously sized washroom can be set to be powerful. Downstairs the cottage has been tastefully designed to provide everything we needed for our stay.We also enjoyed sitting out on chairs beside the stream at the end of the day..The parking place is very near the cottage and easy to use.Everything was just as we wanted, and we hope we get a chance to return."

"Overall excellent. Unfortunately only a 9 for comfort and equipment. Whilst the cottage was generally well equipped to a high standard rather surprisingly there was only one saucepan (plus a milk pan). Cooking potatoes and veg requires ingenuity."
    Chris ‐ 3 Mar 2018
    "Excellent cottage"

"A relaxing and peaceful week in a lovely part of the country, away from the stresses of every day life. Lots of walking, exploring and fresh air."
    Davey ‐ 4 Jan 2018
"We had a great stay at Annie's Cottage! The perfect size and location for our needs. A fantastic local pub and friendly locals, who helped us when we had a puncture. We are already planning our next visit to Milton Combe!"
