This pretty mid-terrace cottage built from classic Cotswold stone has many charming period features including flagstone floors, an inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove and exposed beams. Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Broadwell, it is the perfect setting to experience the beauty of the Cotswolds.
Felltree Cottage is an attractive period home in the Cotswolds, which has been tastefully modernised and turned into a charming holiday cottage for two. Full of period features such as flagstone floors, an inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove and exposed beams; along with a good sized garden to the rear of the property, it is the ideal property for a cosy and relaxing break away.
Step inside to the cosy sitting room where the inglenook fireplace invites you to sit back, light the wood burning stove and enjoy the charms of this welcoming room. The kitchen is small but has all you need to enjoy cooking intimate dinners for two or rustling up breakfast before heading out for the day. Climb the narrow stairs (mind your step!) to the first floor where a small bedroom/study boasts more beautiful exposed beamed ceilings. The bathroom is also on this floor with a bath and hand-held shower attachment. Ascend another steep staircase to reach the master bedroom, with a comfy king-size bed nestled in the eaves and packed with exposed beams from floor to ceiling.
Outside, a charming cottage garden with paved terrace and views open to the surrounding countryside provides garden furniture and a barbecue for lazy summer afternoons.
Broadwell is the quintessential Cotswold village with its classic stone cottages, gently flowing stream with a ford, tranquil village green and of course, a well-loved local pub, The Fox Inn. Just two miles away is the small market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, which offers a variety of tea shops, restaurants, gift and antique shops which are perfect for a leisurely day of shopping. Broadwell is only three miles from Moreton-in-Marsh which has a convenient main line railway station with a regular service to London and Oxford.

The main problem was that we were cold. The log burner wasn’t sufficient to heat the main room and the only other heat source were night storage heaters which just gave a little heat in the morning. After a few days the cottage warmed up a bit but in the evenings it was difficult to keep warm. The first flight of stairs from the top bedroom had no hand rail and was a bit scary!,the second flight had a strong rope which was much better. A hook to hold the hand shower on the wall above the bath would have helped. The kitchen was well equipped and the hamper excellent.

Because it was excellent, thank you.

A comfortable base in a good location. Lovely garden. The main bedroom has an uneven floor which results in sleeping on a noticeable slope, which was slightly strange!
