Saratoga Cottage is set in the picturesque courtyard of Bruern Cottages and has always been a favourite honeymoon cottage, whether it be a first honeymoon, second or twenty-second – or even if they haven’t quite got round to tying the knot yet, in which case Saratoga’s unique ambience might just provide the necessary nudge, as this little gem is truly unique.

The front door leads into the elegant open-plan kitchen, dining room and sitting room, which is dominated by the antique carved oak mantelpiece and its open fire, ideal for snuggling up on a winters evening.

The bespoke kitchen has Carrara marble surfaces and is well-equipped for all your catering needs. You can choose to either eat at the table or wander through the glazed door to feast outside on the flagged terrace, surrounded by cream and white roses, lilies, ceanothus, honeysuckle and euphorbia. Up the steep white painted stairs, too steep, perhaps, for the very young or the elderly, is the galleried bedroom, with a beautiful blue-and-white painted faux bamboo four-poster bed. In the en-suite bathroom you will find a handsome bateau bath with an overhead shower and a marble-topped wash stand.

There is a children's playground at the property and there are also rental bicycles available for all. Standard bicycles are free of charge and E-bikes are £30 per bike, per day. There are bicycles available to rent for the day, by the main office. Standard bicycles are free of charge and E-bikes are £30 per bike, per day.

A river runs through the estate and leads to a weir that is gated off. Please be mindful of this when exploring the Estate.
