"This is a beautiful little cottage in the small village of Lamphey just a couple miles outside the quaint town of Pembroke. For the uninformed Lamphey is a quiet village and an escape from the bustle of the local towns in the county of Pembrokshire - Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Cardigan, and Tenby, are all within easy driving distances: and of course the gorgeous beaches Pembrokshire offers are easily reached; the nearest being 10mins drive away. The cottage was very clean and fully equipped with modern facilities and appliances. Everything was up-to-date and the wi-fi was superfast and worked faultlessly. The 2 bedrooms are lovely; the main having a very comfortable king size bed. All furniture and decor throughout the cottage is very comfortable and clean, and the reclining chair is a joy to chill in after a long day exploring. The kitchen and shower/wc areas was spotless! The hosts were very welcoming and courteous: should we have wanted for anything it was reassuring to know they were close-by to advise on the facilities, appliances, and the geography of in and around the county of Pembrokeshire. We found the cottage and the area to be the perfect getaway (2 adults and a Border Collie) for us. Very rarely do we write a review but, such was the lovely time we had from beginning to end, we feel it worthwhile to highly recommend this cottage as your base.We would not hesitate to return to this cottge - TOP STARS! - Fanstastic!.Thanks again hosts! "S21923 in Amroth was lovely, a cosy warm place to stay (we stayed the weekend just after the snow in March, most had cleared, but it was still wet and cold !!) it is in an ideal pretty location. The local beach was only a short walk down the road, and the next large village across was either a 20 mins walk along the coastal path or a 10 min drive on the coastal road to Saundersfoot, with a break of a Pub half way through. The nearest CO-OP was a 15 min drive away along the main road. (we found it expensive but convenient for our stay). Tenby was a 20 min drive away along the main road, but for those wanting a more scenic view and had a bit more time, the coastal road was nicer, ( albeit it could be a bit busy in "mid-high season" as there are a lot of Caravan/camp sites along the way ). However, the only minor niggles I need mention, were on using the hot-tub, we were to have supposedly " far" reaching views- unfortunately there was a high hedge in the way, so no views :( , and there wasn't really a hospitality package on arrival, although the owner greeted us, it would have been nice to have this, just as a starter pack...... aside those, it is all in all a lovely place, and I would recommend to a friend. it is set in an ideal location, for there are plenty of things around to do, just a shame it was only a short stay (3 nights) for us. S W Wales is a very lovely place to visit. Very Similar to Cornwall"

"Where to start with this lovely gem of a property and host Sheila.A warm Welsh welcome on arrival from Sheila who showed us around a beautiful self catering cottage on a working farm. The property was warm & so inviting with a lovely hamper of treats, milk in the fridge ready for the important cuppa, fresh flowers, plenty of towels, everything had been thought of by Sheila that you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. The charming cottage is also deceiving from the outside with very spacious, bright, well presented & airy rooms. Our dog loved the freedom of the enclosed garden, secure parking, tranquility but everything you need & lots of places of interest to visit, very accessible from the cottage.A true home from home with many personal touches, Philip also had a wealth of local knowledge to share and the couple went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our break, but in no way intrusive. The wine and Sheila’s baking was also very well received by us.Wouldn’t hesitate to return to Carthouse on Poyerston Farm, thank you Sheila & Philip for a memorable, relaxing stay and we very much look forward to returning in the future. Karen & Martin xx"

"a lovely, cosy, peaceful cottage .lovely garden with amazing views. very clean house.a wonderful place to relax as a couple or family, there is a walking track down to the quarry at the side of the house but unfortuanatly the weather was bad so we couldnt use this route, even though the weather was bad this still didnt take a shine off our holiday,i only wish we had booked longer.my only complaint would be the track down into the house it is in need of repair,if you have a 4x4 vehicle or a high car its fine but there are a few quite large potholes that filled with water as the weather was quite bad so was very difficult to see how deep the puddles where, also there's a small hill down into the cottage and i caught the underside of my car going over the rise to go down the hill(keep left so you don't catch underneath of car) , after going down the track a few times i did work out a route that was suitable for my car but still a very unforgiving road.also a little helpful hint if using a sat nav the postcode took me into Glogue but luckily i printed off the directions i recieved in an email and managed to find the house using these better than sat nav."

"We stayed at Primrose for a few days away in January to have a little rest and relaxation after a busy Christmas period in our jobs. It was absolutely perfect. The location itself is so picturesque, only a short drive to towns and beaches when you want to get out and about. It was tough to go out though as the cottage was perfect! Inside is so cosy and romantic, the log burner added that cosy cottage feel when you wanted to snuggle up, especially in the cold January nights we had. All amenities were great, a very comfortable stay. The hot tub just topped it all off! Our only comment on that is that we would have liked a little bit of light and cover around the tub. When it was raining (which was quite a lot), our towels and robes got wet and I couldn't use my speakers to listen to some music while relaxing. Adding even some little fairy lights or something would have helped. Overall, we had a fantastic 4 nights here, we love this part of the country anyway and I think is safe to say we've found our place to stay when we come back to visit. Tina was very friendly and accommodating to us. Thanks for a great visit!"
