"Me and my photographer colleague stayed here in October for 4 nights to explore beautiful Skye. We loved croft house. The location is fabulous with an amazing view over the bay towards towering cliffs and impressive waterfalls tumbling into the sea. It was also an ideal location for one of Skye's most famous attractions Neist point which is only 5 mins drive away. The cottage itself was cosy, clean and spacious with ample dining and lounge area for easily 4 or so people in comfort. Kitchen is very well stocked with cooking equipment and crockery so much so there was barely any room to store food in the cupboards but that was not an issue. Bedrooms are both of a substantial size and beds very comfortable with of course that epic view to wake up to in the morning. Bathrooms also provided shower and bath with hot water on tap. I have only marked down equipment slightly as there is no wifi here. this wasn't a problem for me as I had a strong 4g signal but my colleague had none. It was not the end of the world though as just enjoying being away from it all but be aware that if you need internet there is no wifi here. Also marked down local amenities as there are none really. Again this was no problem for us at all as we expected it and came well stocked and when we visited portree just stocked up again. but just marking it down for people to be aware. Overall though we loved our stay and would visit again in a heartbeat. Beautiful island beautiful cottage to rent highly recommended. Hope to visit again soon."

"S71498 is a stunning cottage in a stunning location. The cottage has everything you would need and more. It has everything listed but also had a freezer and tumble drier which we didn't know about. Take some logs as it's very cosy at night with the logburner on.The cottage is on a hill and although there was a cottage below us and one above, it is not overlooked by any of the others. On arrival, the place was spotless. The views over Loch Pootiel and Dunvegan Head are just beautiful. There isn't anything local really, you have to drive to all the popular places. My partner did this while most days I was happy to relax in the cottage as I loved it so much and never got bored with the view.If you're looking for peace, quiet and somewhere secluded, this is definitely the place for you. I fell in love with it immediately and would love to return one day."

"- cold heating day 1- small amount of kindling to start a fire- newly painted rooms left us with affected eyes and skin rashes- no washing machine- dead rabbit in back garden was off putting- down stairs bathroom locked did not work and locked one of us in for 10 Mins- details of local contact were incorrect. When we did have the right contact she shouted at us that we should not have her number- not enough plates or bowls - dining room fire place not working- we did not make comments in the guest book as we believe our complaints are more serious and will seek compensation via our lawyer for compensation due to toxic paint fumes and we had to cut our holiday short by 4 days due to complaints."

"Every thing was just what we wanted and expected except for the lack of cleanliness. We've always stayed in three star accommodation so we were expecting something above and beyond from this one,as it was 4 star rated. It's location when we arrived was stunning but the cleanliness, especially in the kitchen, was very disappointing. The dishwasher, for example had a couple of inches of dirty greasy water in the bottom which we didn't notice at first until it started to leak onto the floor. However, the location more than made up for all that and we would probably stay there again because of it.The furniture was very comfortable but that too had a layer of dust on it."

"Stunning views. Very self contained and slightly apart from other properties which is good for those seeking a remote property that isn’t isolated. Cottage extraordinarily warm even without wood burning stove as central heating extraordinarily efficient. Entrance hall is reasonably large which is great for discarding outdoor clothes/shoes etc and great for containing the dogs. Garden is large and fenced so again great for dogs. Well-equipped. Only comment would be that the lounge could use a mat or rug in the seating area to make it more cosy. Oct 2011. "
