Our pet friendly cottages in Norfolk are the perfect place to test the claim and immerse yourself in the UK's most famous sunsets with the pup by your side.

With over 50 beaches on the Norfolk coast, your holiday dog walk is taking a turn for the sandy. And you don't just have to stick to the shores, either. The Peddars Way, Nar Valley and Boudica Way are just a sample of paths you and the pup can head down on your outdoorsy short break. There are also the dog friendly country houses and even the annual dog show down in 'Sunny Hunny' Hunstanton, if you really want to get in the spirit!

From its 90 miles of coastline to the stunning Broads and dozens of charming towns, Norfolk makes a great holiday spot. To make it even better, there are also hundreds of lovely dog friendly cottages available for your stay.

Whether you're planning a cosy getaway for two, or a big group get together there is no need to leave your four legged friend at home. What our customers say about their holidays

    • Daniel - Verified booking

We enjoyed a lovely week at the May Bell Cottage.

The cottage is in a great location to explore West Norfolk and during our week we enjoyed trips to Snettisham Farm, Sandringham, Holkham, Wells, Kings Lynn and Hunstanton. The village is lovely and quiet, Sugar Lane and the recreation ground are near and perfect for dog walks. The village also has a Coop and Spar within walking distance. For eating out the Feathers in Dersingham was amazing so we went back on our final night. We also liked the Railway Inn in Docking. Avoid the Queen Victoria in Snettisham though! The cottage itself had everything we needed, it was stocked up with all the kitchen and bathroom essentials and the welcome hamper was a lovely addition. The Wi-Fi was great and the TV in the lounge had all the channels including BBC iPlayer, Netflix etc. We brought our own Amazon Firestick and it wasn’t needed. We found the cottage perfect in every way although the floors could have done with a more thorough clean before our arrival as our white socks were not very white! This is a place we will definitely consider booking again for one of our next Norfolk holidays. Thank you.

The property is nice, modern and fully equipped, however there was quite a lot of dust on surfaces, dirty handprints on the banister and when I moved one of the coasters on a bedside table I found a load of sugar underneath it!

We booked our stay less than 2 weeks before coming and as soon as we received the confirmation and found that the property was nearly 3 miles outside of Norwich, which was not what we wanted, Sykes were very unhelpful and not at all understanding with our request to cancel and receive a full refund. We want it highlighted that the map location for this listing is totally misleading and was the major point we were trying to get across. We fully understand that locations cannot be totally accurate for security reasons and also acknowledge that the description states the property is on the "outskirts" however in all our years of booking holidays we have never been in the situation where the map location which we have always used as a guide has been 3 miles out! We recommend that the description is at least updated to say the location is 3 miles outside of Norwich and the map pinpoint is corrected.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We have had a wonderful, restorative break here. Wonderful welcome hamper, so thoughtfully put together. Delicious homemade cake and tea, a relaxing glass in the evening and a lovely first breakfast. Very helpful owners regarding setting the heating loe for us before our arrival. An enormous bonus for us was how well-equipped the kitchen is - cooked as I do at home - down to scales and blender! The best in over 30 years of cottage holidays. Everything top quality and so comfortable. Will definitely be back - in fact, we could happily move in! Recommend Fullers Mill Gardens, Horstead House gardens and a visit to the ruined church at Tivetshall St Mary, and the chocolate shop in Eye, with its secret cafe. Also recommend The Dog at Norton for a good meal.

This superb property is like a Tardis.

You think it is going to be small when you arrive at the door but as soon as you go inside, the space just opens up before you. The quality of the fittings and decor are excellent and we enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxing stay for our 40th wedding anniversary. There was even a bottle of bubbly and biscuits for us, and a selection of treats for our dog waiting for us on our arrival. Thank you Anne and Richard, it was very much appreciated. The kitchen is equipped with almost everything you could need, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. We liked the community feel to the village of Dersingham, and the many easy dog walks that were available direct from the cottage suited us very well. We will certainly look to return here again when we next visit Norfolk.

Well-appointed and equipped house in a lovely quiet village. The hosts left a (very welcome) welcome pack including a delightful lemon drizzle cake. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped for two people and the bed as comfortable. There was a blanket and bowls to keep our little dog happy. There is a patio garden with a lounger (cushions available in the cupboard under the stairs) which we used on sunny days. Lots of walking places to visit nearby including Thetford Forest and the Redgrave & Lopham Fen. There is the Kings Head just up the road in North Lopham for a drink and the White Horse in South Lopham where the food is really excellent (and you can walk there in 20 mins via the restricted byway running south of the local primary school).
