"This was a lovely holiday rental. The house was beautifully furnished, and looked like it had been recently renovated so was very modern, clean and comfortable. The house had everything we needed, with a well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas in the living room and a lovely garden with tables and chairs. The location is excellent, very close to Bewdley town centre, which has lots of shops and places to eat. I would also recommend a nice walk along the river where you can feed the ducks and watch the rowing boats. However, the house is at the top of a steep, long hill, which doesn't have a footpath down the whole way, so not ideal if you are less mobile. We had our toddler daughter with us, so we didn't attempt to walk down the hill to get in to the town and instead decided to drive. First thing in the morning this was fine and it was easy to find a parking space, but if you hit rush hour or late afternoon then the roads do get quite congested. Parking at the property was fine, it is on street and first come first served, but we always managed to find a spot and mostly right outside the front door. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and comfortable. Just a note if you are bringing a travel cot with you - it won't fit in the smaller twin room but there is plenty of space in the double room. The house is also really close to local attractions such as the Severn Valley Railway, West Midlands Safari Park and Wyre Hill, where you can do the Gruffalo Trail. We had a great time at this property and would definitely come again and recommend to others."

"The cottage was well equipped, comfortable but a little tired looking. The patio area outside the back was looking very unkempt and although I appreciate it was winter time, could have been kept a lot cleaner and tidier. Although we knew that there was no Wi-fi at the property, what we did not know was that it was in a ‘dip’ which meant there was no mobile phone service (Vodafone). It was important for us to keep in touch with family and with very elderly parents, it was important that we could be contacted in an emergency. This was not possible which meant we had to drive out every day in order to get a signal to contact family. The cottage also advertises a full sky package but sky cinema is not available so we could not access sky movies. We spent the first day of our break trawling Telford stores to try and find a way of setting up something to give us access to the outside world ie a cable to give us Wi-fi or a signal booster for the phone, (as this is what the property owner told us he uses in his property next door) to no avail, apparently you cannot use a signal booster without Wi-fi. We feel that people should know when staying at this property that there is no level of communication from the property (on Vodafone). I can’t comment on other networks but I think people should be aware that they may be completely cut off at this property."

"This cottage is set in a stunning location and is very convenient for the Severn Valley Railway. You can watch the trains passing on the bridge. At least you could if you could open the blinds. It is generally clean and cosy and the bread and milk awaiting us was a nice touch. However, there are a few problems with it that would make us not want to stay there again. The twin bedroom is far apart from the double in terms of comfort and convenience. Only one pillow on each bed, no towels (we had to search for some), but the worst thing was the terrible smell in the shower room. We had to keep the skylight open all the time we were there and the smell persisted until the day before we left. The shower screen does not fit well and all the drawers stick and are difficult to open and close. The other bedroom is fine, except that it is not possible to stand up in the bath, due to the low ceiling, unless you are very short, making it difficult to get in and out. Downstairs is much nicer though it is difficult to keep the fridge door closed. Overall, this cottage could be lovely but it needs quite a lot of attention. To sum up, we would say it would be fine for a couple, as long as neither are too tall but is not suitable for four adults, unless the problems with the twin room are sorted out and more care taken with its preparation."

"Very good location for the canal path which was our aim. The lounge could with some new seating and would benefit from a larger TV. There was quite a few cobwebs and it appeared that no one had been in the property for a while before us and no one had a clean up/check over before our stay.Very spacious. Secluded which suited us though you are right alongside a towpath so you do get the odd nosey individual having a look into the kitchen but it never bothered us.Parking alongside the hedge is not an issue if you park the correct way and pull out for passengers.Would recommend owners purchase cushions for the outdoor seating which is otherwise quite firm. We noticed the chairs on the web site pictures and took out own and was pleased that we did as very sunny week and sat outside a lot.Not cheap and just a couple of things as identified would be beneficial but we got the impression that renting was not a major concern/objective to the owners."

"Comfortable, cosy, clean and easy to manage. Nice and warm with simple to operate heating. Sofas and beds were comfy too, and the shower was a breeze to work. The cottage offered everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. When we had a few tech problems, the owners were on hand to help. Bewdley town is a lovely traditional town with as beautiful riverside where everyone is very friendly and helpful. The fruit and veg shop is terrific, the tourist man in the museum couldn't have been more helpful. The town is less than five minutes walk down the hill but the climb up is taxing although there's a bus service if needed. A real bonus is that two doors away is a wonderful traditional proper community pub that's homely and welcoming - and serves a first-class pint of beer. Cheers to S79385."
