"Quite an unusual property, it is a small annexe to the owners' home, and you do literally enter through the garage. The kitchen is excellent and well-equipped, and Whitstable is a really lovely place, and I thoroughly recommend the high street area, full of interesting shops and cafes. However, the property is quite a distance from the centre, and also from the beach at Tankerton. The property is very pet friendly, with a room where you can leave your dog when you go out, and with doggie bags etc. provided. Linda the owner is lovely, and very helpful. Overall it made a great base for exploring East Kent, and was perfectly warm and cosy. The courtyard area at the back is private, but very small for a large dog, mine never felt comfortable out there, and had to wait to go to the park to answer any calls of nature. There is a parking area, which is only big enough for a small to medium car, and I would not recommend staying here if you have a large car, as the property is at the end of a cul-de-sac, and parking is in short supply."

"Beautiful converted longbarn in a stunning location. It has a large wrap around garden. The living accommodation is open plan and has one bathroom and two bedrooms. The owner lives nearby and is very friendly and welcoming. This holiday location is a perfect base to discover Kent and East Sussex. We for instance walked to Tenterden (slow walkers; 50 minutes) and visited several National Trust estates. When we were there the cottage was clean. The garden was mowed and the garden furniture was in good order (yes, stained and one chair was broken and put on the side - but good quality; so perfect usable). The mattress was far to soft to my liking as was the sofa. I didn't sleep very well. But I guess they 'll be perfectly alright to somebody else.Despite the lack of sleep I really think we'll revisit this lovely holiday cottage."

"A lovely cottage, well equipped and very comfortable. Sally is very friendly (didn't really encounter anyone else so can't comment otherwise!) - we saw her at some point nearly every day and she always made a point of asking how we were. There were some lovely touches, such as the provision of bread, milk, cereal etc. The location is quiet and peaceful, but with the security of being next-door to the farmhouse - the geese were very vocal but otherwise we were not disturbed!!Cons: no wifi (although they have tried to get it) and virtually no phone signal/mobile data (actually quite nice, as long as you don't need to access your emails/similar). Generally very clean but there were a few patches of dust and a lot of very friendly spiders!!Will definitely recommend to others."

"Stunning views, but overall disappointed . The fridge had no door to store milk, juice etc, had to use the salad drawer. Outside lights didn't work. Couldn't access the garden cushions. BBQ was filthy. No instructions on how to use the cooker. Info pack had no phone numbers nor details for takeaway deliverys. The local pub is at least 1 and a half miles away, not half a mile as stated. The welcome pack could be improved to include milk, bread, butter. Only a couple of coffee sachets, 1 teaspoon of washing powder, No pole to shut velux window blinds,so early morning sun woke us up.Bathroom towels were rock hard. The 1 day we ventured out, came back to find someone had been in the cottage and opened a window which freaked me out, so much so I left a day early."

"The flat is bigger than expected, very cosy and well equipped with anything you might need on your holidays - much more a real living place than a holiday home. It is full of books and information about the area, including a number of maps and lots of leaflets about the attractions of the area. The place has WiFi, a total of 3 TV sets (one in each bedroom and one in the comfortable living room) and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you can imagine. The two bedrooms sleep up to 5 people, and the bathroom has a giant bathtub. Although there is no private parking, there's a public car park at close distance, as well as the local shop and 2 pubs.We would always happily book again!"
