Beautiful lodge set in Beautiful surroundings first impressions were how new clean and tidy everything was and the views are outstanding.
Also a lovely welcome a hamper with biscuits scones jam clotted cream and a bottle of wine a very nice touch. Lovely seeing the horses in the fields every morning I can only imagine how lovely it will be on a summers day. Bed was comfy shower hot and walk in wardrobe with full length mirror was great. Kitchen was well stock with pots and pans and every utensil you would need. Down side was no coasters to put cups or glasses on I felt bad putting them straight on the coffee table also maybe some cushions on the settee because this was a little uncomfortable on your back the seat area is so wide , but these are minor things. We all had a fantastic time staying at the lodge and would certainly visit again.

Great little cottage in a perfect location. The kitchen is really well equipped and the lounge was comfy and warm. The owners provided shower gel, hand wash, shampoo and conditioner in refillable bottles, which is a great eco alternative to providing mini plastic bottles. The welcome bottle of Suffolk wine was greatly appreciated. The bed in the main bedroom was a little small for us tall people, and the internet and live TV channels a little problematic in windy weather, but if these things aren't of importance to you then Gorse cottage is a great place to stay. The kids loved the little snug twin room and bed layout.

Our family Christmas get away was delightful, this lodge was exceptional.
It felt so inviting and was such a comfortable stay, so spacious inside and well equipped. Owners are very friendly, they make you feel very welcome with hamper on arrival and fresh flowers. The views are amazing just looking out at the countryside, all the space around the lodge is well thought out and really well kept. Also, providing you with an enclosed area for dogs to enjoy themselves is such a bonus. I canât wait to return again in the summer to make use of the outside patio area. Donât think anyone will be disappointed when booking this lodge highly recommend.

The property is lovely and in a beautiful setting.
It could do with a refurb in some areas particularly that bathroom as the floor is damaged with dampness. We ha no hot water on 2nd day but owner was very quick to help and sort this. The detail of road (non metallic) is very misleading as any decent car would be severely damaged on this road leading to the lodge. Area is beautiful and people are lovely, however itâs very remote. More detail on this would be helpful for people to make an informed choice on whether to visit. Price was high for standard of accommodation.

Very comfortable house, wonderful location. Plumtrees is a large well maintained and very comfortable house that would suit both families and couples travelling on their own. The location is wonderful, you have distant sea views and views out over RSPB Tichwell Nature Reserve from the Master bedroom windows. Parking for two cars, well supplied kitchen, nice decor. We have rented Plumtrees four or five times now and will do so again in the future!
