What our customers say about their holidays

      Amazing Holiday, Thank you!

We had a really lovely stay at Orchard View, it was in a great position that's not overlooked and people aren't walking past which was great for Amber my dog. The views over the countryside from the decking/hot tub were stunning. The lodge was really comfortable and had everything we needed. The sofas and bed were comfy, the kitchen was well equiped even with a full sized fridge/freezer so plenty of room to store food. Made good use of the furniture out on the decking as well as the hot tub! Someone from the site did check the hot tub daily, and apart from the first day when they walked in unannounced and were greeted by 40kg of protective Ridgeback, it wasn't too disruptive. They did shout from the gate for the rest of the week if we were in and usually arrived between 9:30am & 10:30am. The site was quiet, the cafe next door and the icecream van across the road were both amazing. The views across Bossiney Haven were really stunning and access to the west coast path couldn't have been easier. We had an amazing holiday with weather so good we couldnt have wished for better! We would definitely recommend Orchard View and would love to return for another holiday, thank you for a fantastic stay!

We really enjoyed the location and the facilities.

Lovely friendly welcome from Kirsty and John and felt we could ask if we needed anything. Fantastic touches with dog bowl, poo bags and treats as well as Milk, yummy scones, jam and cream! A unique location which added to our experience. It wouldn’t suit all, but we loved it. It is one of the few places we have been which we would love to go back to. Loved visiting lots of beaches and exploring. We found The cabin very dog friendly and were pleased that the dogs were able to stretch their legs just outside the cabin not always on leads, which always makes life a little easier! Kirsty and John are developing the site which it would have been nice to know before hand, but the quality of the cabins and thicknesss of the windows meant very little noise and also the worker on site we found was very considerate. It’s such a lovely location- we are not surprising they are adding another cabin! We took dressing gowns to walk to and from the hot tub, which I would highly recommend on chilly days/ evenings! Also a torch is required when wandering to the hot tub at night.

Nice lodge, not over looked so hot tub was quite private, clean tidy but to get the car into the allocated parking space was so tight!

If there had been a car in the allocated space of the lodge at the bottom of the hill then there is no way we’d have got our vehicle into our parking place! Also visitors need to bear in mind the walk to the beach is extremely steep, there are hand rails which are very much needed, the beach is however lovely but take account of tide times as if tide is in then there is no beach. The walk into Tintagel is lovely via the coastal route but a good 30 mins away more the 1/2 mile! There is a lovely cafe next to the holiday park where the owners are very welcoming with a wealth of knowledge of the area and they do a great breakfast but they shut at 5pm so if you are looking for evening food then there is nothing local so it’s either a walk to Tintagel or a drive to somewhere else. We enjoyed our stay, the dogs had a great time, we were extremely lucky with the weather so walking into town for food each night was no issue, it would have been a different story if it had been a week of rain! Lovely lodge just make sure you research the area as a car is needed!

Our short break was absolutely brilliant and was most enjoyable.

Very comfortable lodge, sofa and bed. Bathroom was well equipped with an excellent shower. If I were to be at all critical, I’d say the parking was a little tight at lodge 13 (had to reverse it in from the narrow main road of the park, which was already on a tight corner) and not particularly well lit for a nighttime manoeuvre. The fire didn’t seem to work, not sure if it was the remote control or fire itself, but we couldn’t get it to turn on. The central heating however was excellent. Sadly, the temperature of the hot tub was too cold upon arrival and so although we stayed two nights, we’re only able to use it once. I realise you are changing the water for each visitor, but perhaps if it could have been put on earlier, we might have made the benefit of a lodge with a tub. All in all, a brilliant stay, excellent location with things to do, places to visit and walks to explore very close by. Thank you.

We had a great time staying at Tor down Quarry.

The cabin was very clean and decorated to a high standard, we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. The views across the local countryside were beautiful and the lakes were a spectacular place to have fun with the family. we stayed for three nights and didn't feel the need to leave the site as it was such an enjoyable place to be. We arrived late on our first night as traffic was bad but Kirsty made sure that once we had got to the site picking up the key and getting into our cabin was super easy. Once in we were greeted by a delicious plate of local scones along with plenty of tasty jam and cream to go with them which we all enjoyed tucking in to! We highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great place to relax and unwind.
