On approaching the lodge for the first time, my initial impression was that it looked "very tired" in appearance. On a positive note, it was spacious and sufficient for a family of 5. That said, there were a number of things that were quite disappointing:- The main lock was a bit fiddly but, we were warned about that at reception when we booked in.There was a strong smell of damp, particularly in the kitchen cupboard under the sink. There was supposed to be a dishwasher according to the information provided but, there wasn't.There were a couple of issues with the bathroom/toilet. The bathroom door didn't lock and the cistern didn't work properly. The short flush worked but, when the long flush was used, the water kept on running continuously. There was a similar flush problem in the ensuite which also had a strong smell of ammonia and mould. There were lighting issues in the two main bedrooms. In one bedroom, the main light didn't work but the bedside light did. In the other double bedroom, it was the reverse.Basically, the whole lodge could do with a major overhaul which is why I think it represents poor value for money compared with like for like accommodation I have used before. In short, I would hesitate in recommending this lodge to potential holiday makers.

We had a long weekend here the staff could not be more helpful and very accommodating the lodge we stayed in was a very good size and clean but I would say it’s starting to look a bit tiered the oven needs a good clean and there is some rust on the microwave and the advertising says it has a dishwasher but it don’t have one of them in it so all in all a good stay clean to a point but needs some money spending on it and possibly a new oven as of how dirty it is and smoke like it’s on fire if you use the grill having said about the negative points I would think of going back as of it’s size and price
