"lovely accommodation, beautiful gardens and amenities, the aga was brilliant we did lots of cooking on it and I wish I had one of these in my kitchen! beds were so comfy had amazing sleep did not wake up once from slumber which is not the case at home (noted the mattress brand and will get the same for my bed). The spa room was again fabulous and well maintained, we didnt use it as much as we would have liked to simply because it was cold outside. The house was nice and cosy for the 12 of us, shame the tv in the big living room was tiny had to huddle on one side to watch it, could invest in a bigger TV would make a lot of difference to the overall viewing for all. The games room was a hit with the kids and they spent most evenings playing pool or on the wii. Shame the big fridge freezer was broken on arrival, the replacement smaller fridge space was far too tiny for our shopping and any cooked food soon went off in the hot kitchen as there was no space to store it in the small fridge. Freezer space was plenty, but we did have a lot of expensive wastage considering we are a party of 12, the fridge aspect should have been better considered, the repairman did arrive 5 days into the trip to fix the big fridge but we had left on day 6 so no point really. The cleanliness of the place was a let down, one toilet was filthy and had clearly not been touched for a while, my 13 year old put on rubber gloves and cleaned it which he would never normally do but it was not something we could ignore.Overall, despite the oversights, the accommodation was lovely and the gardens were stunning, tennis courts kept the kids busy seeing as the nearest decent beach ie. woolacombe and Tescos was over 40 minutes away and the weather didn't pick up until the end of our trip. good value for money nevertheless."

"We had an amazing Easter weekend at the Farmhouse to celebrate our daughter's 21st, very much helped by the beautiful weather we were lucky to be blessed with! The house itself was perfect, very clean, very comfortable, almost everything we needed! The only reason for the loss of a mark on comfort & equipment was because the large American style fridge freezer was out of order and it was very difficult to fit all our our food and drink in the small fridge that was in the kitchen - we had to use the fridge in the annex as well, which was not always convenient! The garden was fantastic and the dogs had a great time chasing a ball up and down. The hot tub and sauna were also very nice and we wish we could have used these more but as the weather was so outstanding we had to be out and about!! Beds were super comfy, bathrooms very clean - only one slight problem was a lack of hot water about 5pm after a couple of showers there wasn't enough for any more. The annex was perfect for the birthday girl and her partner being completely self contained. We absolutely loved the local area, especially Woolacombe beach and would highly recommend a trip to Hele Corn Mill Tea Room. All in all we had an amazing stay at Woolhanger and would have no hesitation in recommending. We just wish we could have stayed longer. One final thing - thank you so much for the 'welcome pack' - it was much appreciated :)"

"Woolhanger Farmhouse had everything for our group 30th birthday celebrations! The house and adjoining annex are enormous and have everything required to house 12 people comfortably. The sauna and hot tub were absolutely fantastic. Contrary to our skepticism, the hot tub was ginormous and easily seated 8 of us, with definite room for more! The only negative here is that these facilities are only accessible until 9pm, but I can understand that the owners want to keep disruption to a minimum, as it's a beautifully tranquil spot that could easily be ruined by a rowdier party. One thing to note would be that the storage heaters in the annex were all set to off when we arrived, which we didn't realise until we went to bed in the early hours of the morning. If this was highlighted on arrival, it would have avoided the temporary discomfort of warming up a rather chilly bedroom!Other than that, the house is located very close (10-15min drive) to the quaint towns or Lynton and Lynmouth with coffee shops, souvenirs, delicious pasties/fudge and a beautiful coastal walk along the SW Coastal Path (and the funicular railway between the towns if you are so inclined), which was a very relaxing and enjoyable trip for the entire group."

"12 of us had a comfortable and cosy weekend in a very high quality residence. There is enough seating for everyone around the large farmhouse dining table and enough seats for everyone to sit comfortably in the lounge. Beds were comfy and cosy, bathrooms modern and clean, kitchen suitable for catering for large parties. We used all the facilities (all equipment is provided) tennis court, the jacuzzi and sauna and the table football, table tennis and pool table. The back lawn was a wonderful place to play with our dogs. We loved the peace and quiet, and the space to share birthday celebrations. The beach at Woolacombe was worth the 30 minute journey. The surrounding countryside was spectacular in the last flush of Autumn. Small shop nearby but we had a Sainsbury’s supermarket delivery on the first evening to save bringing all our groceries and although it was the driver’s first visit to the propery he found it in the dark. All of us agreed we would love to go back."

"Chapel cottage is in a stunning location , lots of homely features and lovely to arrive to find a pint of milk a packet of biscuits plus enough teabags/coffee to make a drink on your arrival.Quite near the road but depending on what you want it is quite a way from any beaches or larger villages and towns with basic amenities such as a shop . (There was a garage shop and Post office very close but only stocked the bare essentials.)But the view from our bedroom was amazing and to wake listening to the birds singing just made each morning relaxing and set the stage for the day. It really does depend on what you want from your holiday , we were after quiet relaxation and that's exactly what we got . We were 4 adults and a dog and the cottage was just about big enough for us all without getting in each others way. The owners who lived nearby were so helpful providing lots of useful local information . Nothing was too much trouble ."
