What our customers are saying about our Summer Holiday Lodges In Harrogate To Rent.

"The lodge itself was very clean, comfortable and warm. Having paid an additional fee to bring our dog we were disappointed to find a strictly worded notice about pets, saying that all damage must be paid for AND threatening a specified fine if he was left in the lodge unattended! Ours is an old quiet dog who sleeps a lot and has never caused a problem in cottages before. We did make use of the owner's day care facility once at a reasonable charge which was fine, but it would have been nice if a day's stay could have been included in the additional fee perhaps. We were also disappointed that there were no walks from the lodge which is just off a main road, and the garden had open fencing. To be fair to the owners, an enclosed garden was not listed as a feature, but this is not a particularly pet friendly place! The only nearby pubs are impossible to walk to as there are no footpaths along the main road. The lodge is advertised as being on a working farm, and is close to a pig unit. The smell has been mentioned in other reviews, and was very invasive on some days, making it unpleasant to open windows or sit outside.Beyond the lodge the area is lovely with many places to visit."

"A Welcome pack would have been a nice touch, unusual not to have at least a pint of milk tea and coffee, pots and pans have seen better days, but the China and glass was really good, also a lack of cleaning products, again unusual not to have enough to see us through a couple of daysInternet was very poor if we got online for 10 minutes we felt lucky, so not able to look up places of interest or maps, but to give the owner and her daughter their due they tried hard to get it put right, and that only happened the last two days of our holiday,On a brighter note we found the furniture and beds were very good, and bed linen was fresh and bright,Lots of hot water all though I feel the system needs attention as the shower head leaked every time we turned on a tap, and could be very noisy,The heating was very good but not needed much as we had very good weatherOverall we were comfortable and really enjoyed our holiday,But do not feel we would visit Swinsty Lodge again ."

"The Haven is probably the best-appointed sc accommodation we have ever stayed in. It is fitted, decorated and furnished to a high standard and it is clearly maintained with pride. The patio-style garden was immaculate. We had just a couple of minor grumbles. A fuller explanation of the heating system would have been helpful as it became too warm inthe top bedroom on one of the nights. We also could not get the dining area tv to work. Neither issue inconvenienced us greatly. Burnt Yates is an attractive but low-key village. There are no shops and we were disappointed to find what we thought would be the nearest pub, closed and up for sale. That said, there are other pubs within a reasonable driving distance. Harrogate is about a 20 minute drive. There are several footpaths for walkers from the village itself and a viewpoint across the neighbouring countryside a five minute stroll away."

"Swinsty Lodge is situated in a beautiful, rural location and served as a convenient base for exploring local towns and countryside. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owner was on hand and was very approachable to answer questions on the locality. Only 2 minor negatives, as we have a dog there was no public footpaths, for early morning walks, direct or adjacent to the property although plenty just a short drive away. Secondly, there is a lovely private grassy garden just down from the decking which is retained by post/rail fence. As there is livestock (sheep) close by I think some wire netting fixed to it would prevent any visitors dogs wandering out. Although ours is obedient we still felt we had to keep watching out. To sum up this provided us with a lovely holiday and would highly recommend a visit."

"This was our first stay at Fir Tree Stables and I can safely say it won't be our last. The cottage is in a fantastic location with stunning scenic views of rolling countryside, but never too far away from various locations of beauty to visit either. The décor and amenities at Fir Tree Stables are excellent and gave the whole experience an amazing homely feel. The owners are so friendly and helpful, and apply a "we are here if you need anything" approach which enables you to have a more relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Being able to take our loveable Staffie with us was a complete bonus also, as he was able to relax and enjoy the holiday as much as we did."
