"This was our second stay at this small complex of five holiday cottages on the outskirts of Stirling - our first was back in 2014. We were recognised by a fellow holiday making couple who were there for their 19th stay and remembered us from 2014! This in itself should be recommendation enough to stay at the Osprey Hideaway complex. Our cottage this time was the 1-bed Kestrel Cottage with views overlooking the North Third Reservoir from the kitchen, dining area and bedroom. The quality of the complex has not diminished in the past 5 years. This really is our benchmark against which we will continue to compare other holiday lets.Osprey Hideaway is a mere stone's throw from the lovely city of Stirling, itself an excellent central location for exploring the Glasgow/Edinburgh corridor, the Trossachs and even out as far as the East and West coasts. We had a road trip on one day to the Isle of Bute, returning via lochs Fyne, Long and Lomond.Set in the hills above Stirling, the complex is a tranquil retreat of two and one bedroom cottages in a U around a central courtyard. Kestrel Cottage provided us with luxury accommodation for the week. A fully equipped kitchen enabled us to cook a meal for friends who were caravanning in the area and the fast Wi-Fi connectivity allowed us to stream a re-run of the Tattoo that we had seen with the same friends, the previous Friday evening. We fully recommend Osprey Hideaway as a base for a self-catering holiday and hope to return much sooner than the five year gap between visits one and two!"

"We have just come back from spending a very relaxing week on Clachan Seil at the willowburn cottages, the surrounding scenery and views are beautiful and it is soooo quiet, if it’s peace and quiet you want there’s nowhere better. The cottage is very nice and comfortable, clean and fresh with all mod cons, the only downside I could see there was that if you went in the colder months you might not be warm enough in the downstairs area of the house as there is only one electric panel heater heating the living area which is open plan to the kitchen. The owners are very nice and don’t bother you but are near by if you need them. There is a lovely old pub just a 5 minute walk away in one direction and a shop about 2 miles away in the other direction. We would definitely go back again."

"This is a lovely little cottage in a beautiful little village. Only one shop in the village but less than 3 miles from Cupar with supermarkets for anything you need. The cottage is no more than 10 miles from all the East Neuk attractions. If you have dogs it's a great location - a small park across the road and a rural walk up Craighall Den a minute from your gate. The cottage is one of the best equipped I have ever spent time in, lots of thought to what you might need and never once thought I needed something that wasn't already there. Completely over exceeded my "as long as it's clean" expectations. A very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend. The locals in the only pub are really friendly people."

"Had a wonderful break in the Kestrel cottage 29 June to 6 July. The cottage was perfect and in a perfect location overlooking the loch. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. The cottage was quite spacious too. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The honesty room was brilliant for getting information of places to visit and a good selection of dvds to borrow. The location was great went to Stirling castle Wallace monument and other places a bit further afield. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to Scotland thank you George and Morag for such a wonderful stay."

"Great time at Barn Owl. Welcome package best we have ever seen. Lots of extras provided. Can be either a quite relaxing holiday or travel to many nearby attractions. We visited many of those including The Falkirk Wheel, Kelpies, Stirling castle & William Wallace memorial , Loch Lomond & a beautiful Japenese garden only 25 minutes drive away. If you like historical buildings Culross is a definate winner which if you are a National Trust member the palace & gardens are free. It is described as a palace but is more of a historical house. Thanks to Morag for all her advice."
