"Wow what a wonderful stay we had at villa Felix. We fell totally in love with the villa & it’s surroundings. It is simply stunning. The wonderful couple Chris & Emilie were so helpful & my son fell in love with their dog, who he hasn’t stopped talking about since we got home. We visited some fabulous places both near & further away. We loved Lyon-la-foret for lunch, a 10 minutes drive away. Rouen is 20 minutes drive & is a stunning city to explore. We visited the Normandy beach landings & the Bayeux Tapestry which was around 2 hours drive away. We also spent an amazing day at Disney which was just over 1.5 hours drive away. This was our first driving holiday in France using the tunnel which was an easy 2.5 hours drive from Villa Felix. We will return in 2019, our hearts were well & truly stolen by Villa Felix & it’s beautiful location, lovely people & the owners dog 🐶!!!"

"Brillevast is a good location and the property could be excellent however it was not. There was no welcome pack giving you information such as nearest A&E; shop or restaurant which I found unusual as generally there is some information to help you settle in particularly as the owner/caretaker can’t speak English. The garden couldn’t really be used by the children as the grass was particularly long. The bedding provided was awful (old, tired and stained in places). There was generally a lack of care/upkeep of the property eg. wallpaper secured in places with sellotape. The caretaker/owner seemed genuinely lovely though and tried her best to assist us where she could. Maybe I arrived expecting too much based on the photos of the property. As a location though it was great and the property didn’t stop us from having an excellent holiday."

"From the minute we arrived at Villa Felix we were all blown away with the grounds and the external areas around the house. The swimming pool is fantastic and even though the weather wasn’t great, the kids were never out of it. The interior of the gite is absolutely beautiful and Emilie and Chris (the owners) have a great eye for detail and style. They both have a wealth of knowledge of the local area and amenities and were only to happy to give us tips on where to visit and restaurants to try. We were all sad to leave on the last day, especially the kids who also made a new friend, the friendliest dog you could ever hope to meet, Frip, who the kids fell in love with. We will definitely visit the villa again in future but they are already fairly well booked for next summer."

"The apartment was clean and well equipped. It was on the small size and I had expected a proper sofa bed as opposed to a sofa with a trundle bed underneath. In effect two single beds not making for the most romantic of stays! The grounds were very nice, it’s a shame that there wasn’t a few swings and slide for the children as there is plenty of space. The pool was warm and clean but quite small and got very crowded even though we stayed at the end of the season and the site wasn’t full. We had a nice time but wished we’d booked a larger apartment and taken some extra pillows as they were extremely thin."

"Good value for money with all the facilities/equipment needed for a holiday. The only drawbacks we found was that the toilet was at the opposite end of the cottage from the bedroom, and that access to the raised shower cubicle was difficult if you have even minor mobility issues. If I was wanting to revisit that area of Normandy again, I would most probably rebook 'Le Forsythia', however, having visited the area 2 years running, I think I would rather explore another area of France."
