Charming Puddle Cottage is a beautiful and welcoming cottage, and it sits in an idyllic countryside setting in the tiny hamlet of Chebbard, offering a perfect retreat for two.
Puddle Cottage is a cosy couples retreat located in the hamlet of Chebbard, and close to the quaint and picturesque villages of Cheselbourne, Melcombe Bingham, Ansty, Milton Abbas and Dewlish.
Throughout the cottage you will find luxury touches with wonderful styling, and high quality and tasteful furnishings. On the ground floor is an attractive open-plan sitting room with exposed beams and a wood burning stove, plus a separate dining area. The open-plan kitchen is light-filled with a high ceiling, and glazed door to the garden. French doors from the sitting room offer easy access to the patio area and front garden with views across the lawn and of the beautiful Dorset countryside, a perfect setting for alfresco dining.
On the first floor you will find a generous bedroom for two, with a king-size bed, luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding and plush Hungarian goose down duvets and pillows for a further touch of luxury. With a en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and walk-in shower close by, this is the perfect space to relax and unwind after a day of exploring this special area.
Puddle Cottage is ideally placed for those who enjoy cycling or countryside walks, with numerous footpaths, and quaint villages nearby. There is plenty to explore within the area including Dorset's second highest hill of Bulbarrow, which offers exceptional views right across Dorset. The market towns of Dorchester, Blandford, Sherborne, Shaftesbury, Wareham and Wimborne are all within easy reach, with plenty of choice for pubs, restaurants and shopping. The glorious Jurassic Coast, including famous Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door is just a pleasant drive away, making the property perfectly situated for enjoying all of the delights of Dorset.

We booked Piddle and Puddle cottage with my parents, young daughter and dog for a short break. The cottages were perfect, such a beautiful place and the gardens are absolutely stunning. We were very blessed with the weather and the cottages are in the perfect location to enjoy country walks, trips to the beach and relaxing in the sunshine in the garden. Such a lovely stay - we don't want to leave.

On our arrival we were immediately taken aback by the cottage and it's setting. Having lived in the cottage for four days we have really enjoyed the gardens - as a keen gardener myself I appreciate the sympathetic planting and the variety of plants that provide colour and a beautiful scent. The interior of the cottage was very tasteful, comfortable and it gave us everything we needed. We would love to come back.

A lovely stay in this beautiful cottage, so much local produce in the welcome hamper. Highly recommend the Langham Vineyard just up the road, lovely food and locally produced wines and bubbles!
