What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ms Freedman - Verified booking

Millers cottage was a lovely comfortable cottage in a great location off the high street and only a few minutes walk from some lovely beaches. The property was clean and bright and really nicely decorated with a seaside feel to it. There were some nice restaurants nearby and local shops as well as a small park. The kitchen was well equipped with all that you could really want though a coffee make of some sort would be a nice addition. Everything you needed on arrival milk tea and coffee and cleaning products were provided. The 2 main bedrooms were very comfortable though I would say that the 3rd bedroom was small and more suited to a child. The parking space was too small for us even to attempt to park a medium size hatchback though we did find parking nearby we didn't use the car at all. There is a good bus and train service up and down the coast. We could have done with some simple instructions of how to use dish washer and microwave as we had to use the handbooks and some spare keys . Over all i would definitely recommend the property and thought it was good value given the location and how comfortable and cosy it was and the use of the garden outside chairs table and parasol useful as the weather was lovely .

A very enjoyable stay, we have stayed here before, albeit some years ago. I did not give it 5 stars as I thought there were some cleaning and maintenance issues about the property. The cottage was well equipped especially the kitchen. On first sight the cottage was clean, however it needed a thorough deep clean - in particular the carpets were very stained (especially the stair carpet) and the skirting boards and the windowsills had not been cleaned for a long time. One night it rained and knowing a window was open upstairs I went to close it. A little rain had come in, so I wiped the rain drops up, the cloth I used to dry was very dirty after wiping the window ledge and sill. Also there did not appear to be any bins for recycling. As a general point the welcome hampers seemed to have been reduced from what I remember from previous visits to RR cottages over many years. Bread, butter, flowers, eggs for example do not appear to be included any more - nice little touches that set RR apart from other companies.

Lovely cottage and we enjoyed our stay in November 2024.

Location: I really liked the location- lovely to be able to walk to the sea front in a few minutes for nice walks. Good attractions nearby- we walked to Margate one day and drove to Whitstable another day. The restaurants, bars and cafes of Westgate-on-Sea are also on your doorstep, and a small cinema is nearby. Cottage: It was impeccably clean and clearly well maintained. I would flag (as the listing doesn't mention it) the property does abut the train line. It didn't really bother us (we live near a train line at home), and there aren't overly frequent trains, but for some people it may cause bother. Apart from the trains it is a quiet area. Nice range of kitchen items (although perhaps could have done with some more cutlery). The cottage was nice and cosy, and the Wi-Fi was fast and fine for us and able to cope well with video calls etc. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Lovely comfortable, homely accommodation. Whilst some of the furniture was a little tired everything was immaculately clean. Excellent kitchen equipment and the utility room was a really good bonus. Whilst the weather prevented our use of the pleasant enclosed outside space, we could let our two dogs roam with confidence knowing they were safe. The property is within easy walking distance to Broadstairs High Street and the beach area. The only downside of our stay was an issue with parking. Whilst there is a shared drive, it is very tight and suitable for small cars only. There is on road parking, but, the property being close to a railway station, available spaces are very limited during the day. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the owners efforts in providing pleasant accommodation.

This house was in a perfect location in Broadstairs. It felt like home as soon as you went through the door. It has everything you need for a really comfortable stay with a well equipped kitchen and the bonus of a sunny courtyard and parking. The house is just a short walk from Pierremont Park which you can walk through to take you down to the sea front. There are loads of restaurants and bars/pubs in Broadstairs - something for every taste. The other area it's near is St Peter's - there is a great pub (the Little Albion) in that area, along with the Four Candles opposite - a little micro brewery. You can walk for miles along the lovely beaches or across the cliffs to Margate or Ramsgate and beyond. It's a real gem - good value for money. We'll be coming back soon.
