What our customers are saying about our Romantic Cottages In Longnor To Rent.
Mrs Krarup - verified booking
"Yes the furniture was comfortable but the heating system is antiquated and needs seriously updating. The heater in the en suite was not working and the owner was completely unconcerned when we phoned to report the fact. There is no instruction book for the cooker. The cottage appears unloved and uncared for. The oven was dirty and the cottage needs a thorough spring clean. There was no access to the back yard where a gutter or overflow was dripping badly in heavy rain. The information book in the sitting room is out of date and we were extremely disappointed to discover when we phoned the owner to check that there were no recycling facilities available. We are frankly amazed that Sykes are prepared to tolerate this. In the end we brought the recycling home with us. We do not support putting clean recyclable material in the general rubbish and are surprised that you do. I await your comments before I consider booking with your organisation again."

"This is a relatively new barn conversion carried out to a very high standard. It has everything there you could want for a week or two in the Peak District. It is a family run farm where you are made very welcome and are free to explore the farm and animals when you wish. We went with our daughter, her husband and two children 3 and 5 years old. They saw the milking of the cows up close and played each morning whilst we were getting ready with the children of the family aged 4,5 and 6. My only criticism is that the rental is far better than the advert suggests. We arrived a little concerned with what we wuld find, having booked late, but it far exceeded our requirements. The local pubs are great. We used the Royal Oak, about a mile up the road a fair bit. There is a cellar area where the kids could make as much noise as we could put up with and the upstairs for more formal dining."

"We arrived at the property and were overwhelmed with the size and cleanliness that this charming house offered. The property was large enough for 7 adults and one dog, the lounge was spacious and we quickly had the wood fire roaring away. The bedrooms were good size and the two bathrooms had a massive bathtub each which were lovely to relax in after a hard days walking and taking in the lovely scenery. We enjoyed exploring the limestone ridges and rolling hills that were right on our doorstep. The property had enough space for three cars to park and had a large barbeque which we used during a dry spell. Would highly recommend for families and couples."

"The cottage was lovely - very comfortable, and the owners were very welcoming. The cottage is a barn conversion, which has been very well done, to a good standard, making it a very comfortable place to stay. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with plenty of cupboards for both the crockery, and pots and pans etc provided, as well as spare cupboards to store our stuff whilst we were there. The cottage was beautifully clean and cosy, which was most welcome after we had been out walking in some very wet, British summer weather!!"

"A very spacious, comfortable well equipped cottage ideal for exploring the Peak District, Buxton is just and easy 16 minute drive away. Phone coverage is iffy but there is good free Wifi. Paula provided welcoming wine, biscuits, milk, tea and coffee. Bear in mind this is on a working dairy farm so there is a some early morning noise, this is more notivable in the front bedroom but much less noticeable in the two rear double dedrooms. Access to the The Tissington Trail via nearby Hurdlow."
