What our customers are saying about our Child Friendly Cottages In Longnor To Rent.

- RyedaleRambler, August 2016 - verified booking

"This is a relatively new barn conversion carried out to a very high standard. It has everything there you could want for a week or two in the Peak District. It is a family run farm where you are made very welcome and are free to explore the farm and animals when you wish. We went with our daughter, her husband and two children 3 and 5 years old. They saw the milking of the cows up close and played each morning whilst we were getting ready with the children of the family aged 4,5 and 6. My only criticism is that the rental is far better than the advert suggests. We arrived a little concerned with what we wuld find, having booked late, but it far exceeded our requirements. The local pubs are great. We used the Royal Oak, about a mile up the road a fair bit. There is a cellar area where the kids could make as much noise as we could put up with and the upstairs for more formal dining."

Mr Hancox - verified booking

"Our stay was very enjoyable but there were a couple of things which would have made it even better. The outside spaces need tidying up and the shower on the top floor needs attention because it can't be adjusted as necessary. Our first impression of the kitchen was disappointing because there is some damage to the unit as you walk in, although this doesn't interfere with the practical use of the kitchen. During our stay we noticed that the gas bottles needed replacing so we phoned the owner, who was grateful that we had checked this, and the next day the gas bottles were replaced. The beds were very comfortable and the bath towels were lovely, but it would have been good to have had hand towels as well. We would add that for what we paid for our week, this house is very good value."

- Mrs Jennings, October 2016 - verified booking

"The cottage itself was very well appointed and cleanliness and attention to detail were excellent. It was lovely to stay somewhere where the crockery and cutlery had obviously been purchased for the property and was of good quality. However, we felt that the pictures on the website were misleading as far as the view was concerned. It faced the owners farmhouse and three dogs who were permanently tied up. The dogs themselves were lovely and being farm dogs we do understand that they are treated differently to pets. We also suffered from rather a lot of flies which seemed immune to fly spray. It may not be fair to the owners publish these comments as I'm sure the cottage would suit many people - just not us again. We prefer to have a better view from the property."
