What our customers say about their holidays

    • Confirmed Guest - Verified booking

I wanted somewhere nestled in the countryside, with stunning views, privacy and peace yet close enough to town to nip out for a takeway or restaurant if I didn't feel like cooking and Llwyncelyn is just the place. The fact that it is also right in the middle of some of the best cycling (with a a capacious lock up shed - great for those days when you want to leave the bikes behind or do some repairs), has footpaths leading out across stunning scenery and (back to that lock up shed) somewhere to stow your fishing gear if that's your particular passion makes this cottage so special. After a long day out and about the hot tub was much appreciated and I am now a convert. Add to that beds that even goldilocks would have to admit are just right and this is somewhere I will come back to. Thank you, we love it!

Myself and two friends were looking to stay in a beautiful part of Wales in a comfortable quiet location. Llwyncelyn Farmhouse fitted our requirements perfectly. We each had our own bedroom and enjoyed visiting some of the many castles, gardens and walks in the area. The kitchen was well equipped and big enough that we could all do our share of the cooking. I would recommend the Cawdor Arms Hotel in Llandeilo for a superb lunch. We only used the log burner on the first evening as the weather was so good and then relaxed in the hot tub the other evenings. The Bullock Gang in the field near the house kept us amused with their antics. Altogether a very enjoyable break.

Amazing cottage with everything we needed to feel right at home!

The views from the cottage is spectacular - beautiful green fields, surrounded by peace and quiet! The cottage is even more beautiful than on the photos! The things we especially appreciated was - ample packing space both in the kitchens and the rooms, enough hangers, foil / kitchen roll, more than 4 cups for coffee ;)! , the games was a great bonus and a special thank you for the thoughtfulness of the wine, milk, cake, fresh flowers and condiments ;) The weather really did not play along so we will have return in the summer to enjoy the hot tub a bit more as well as the firepit!

This cottage comes with more facilities than any other we have stayed in The hydro bubble bath will definitely attract someone, the children's play area is safe and includes slides etc.

And there is a secure dog area of some 40 x 40 feet. Being on a slope its a good place to play ball and tire your mut. But you will realise thought has been given to this barn conversion on arrival, not only due to the space, but when you find milk in the fridge, coffee pods next to the coffee machine, a bottle of wine and a cake to provide that immediate snack. The grass is short, the trees, hedges and fencing well maintained. Parking is properly allocated and you are encouraged to recycle. And the view is fantastic. The owners have thought of everything!

Llwyncelyn is a lovely property situated in very rural surroundings but within a short and easy drive to Llandeilo. Its immediate environment was extremely peaceful which was exactly what we wanted. For trips out, we went to Llyn Y Fan Fach, Castell Carreg Cennen and Gerddi Aberglasne which were all quite nearby. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and that certainly contributed to the great week we had.
