What our customers say about their holidays

Katchana is the perfect home from home.

It was warm, comfy, peaceful and extremely well equipped. It was so well equipped it felt like someone had leant us their home for a week. It has everything you need. The bed is comfy, the shower was great. Sofas are great. The sky Q box is a nice touch so you can record something you don't want to miss and watch it later. Then there's the hot tub.. just amazing. The location is incredible with lovely views over Loch Insh. And there are some amazing walks either a very short drive or walkable from the door. I would recommend walking to Feshiebridge and checking out the sculpture trail. Also highly recommend driving to Uagh Lochan and walking the red route. The views are breathtaking. I've loved other places I've stayed, but this is the first time I felt devastated to be leaving a location. If you're lucky enough to be booking Katchana you won't be sorry.

Wonderful Stay at [KATCHANA]** **Rating: (5/5)** The cottage is situated in a beautiful area, surrounded by stunning scenery.

We enjoyed hiking in the nearby trails and the proximity to local attractions was a huge plus. Upon arrival, we found the cottage to be spotless. It was well-maintained and provided a welcoming atmosphere. The amenities were excellent. The kitchen was well-equipped, making meal preparation easy, and we especially appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea. The beds were incredibly comfortable! We had great nights of sleep and the living area was cozy, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The host was very responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out, which made our arrival smooth. **Overall, we had a fantastic stay at KATCHANA We would definitely recommend it to others looking for a peaceful retreat. Thanks for a lovely experience!** #FARHAN KHAN MOHAMMED……

The beauty of Katchana is that it is timeless.

If you want a busy winter holiday or a action packed summer break or in our case, a place to relax and let the world drift past lazily, then Katchana is the perfect place. On clear nights the skies share a billion miles of stars and in the morning, feathered friends gather to be fed at your door. Pine Martins and Deer are also around the property and if you’re lucky, the pine Martins come close to the cottage. The beds are comfortable, the living area is relaxing and the kitchen has all you need to suit your needs. And that hot tub!! A perfect way to end or start your day. Love love love this place.

This was our second stay at Katchana and it never fails to dissapoint.

The abundace of wildlife that comes to the cottage is amazing and I would be quite happy to spend my holiday just looking out of the windows. The cottage was very cosy and clean it had everything you could wish for a good stay, the kitchen had all you would possibly need, the beds are very comfortable, there are books, jigsaw, games to use. The scenery from all the windows are beautiful, it is so peaceful and quiet. The owner of the property is a lovely lady and easy to contact.

Katchana is the perfect home from home.

It's comfortable and has all the facilities you need, plus more. The hot tub is a bonus and was the perfect way to unwind after a day in the wilderness. The views and walks from Katchana is what made it for us. Words can not describe how stunning it is, particularly the autumn colours. There are so many great walks right from the door. Loch Insh Watersports Centre can be walked to in under 30 mins and has loads of activities and lovely food. Thank you Jenny for a lovely stay!
