What our customers say about their holidays

    • The Maude Party - Verified booking

We had an excellent week, Marshmere was perfect, very comfortable, and very well equipped. We enjoyed several trips on Fair Sailing, to Ranworth, Ludham. How Hill and Wroxham as well as one or two shorter trips; my 86 year old father in law used to own a boat in Bridlington and he loved every minute of it! He also used to be in the RAF so a visit to the Neatishead radar museum was a real highlight, and even the doubters in our party found that surprisingly enjoyable and interesting. Plus the Hippodrome circus/water spectacle in Great Yarmouth was another slightly unexpected delight. We'd love to come again at some point; time will tell! With many thanks again.

    • Mrs George - Verified booking

Beautiful location and very comfortable. I was surprised at how spacious the property is and it was clean, not dated and not cluttered which I like. Nice selection of chairs to relax on as well and the kitchen is well equipped. We hired the owners boat for the week which I would 100% recommend as we had the freedom to go out on the broads whenever we wanted to which we really enjoyed. The clubhouse nearby also sells lovely food and drinks and cakes which can be bought and taken back to the property if desired which we did a few times. Very quiet location, didn’t hardly see or hear anyone else. Very relaxing stay.

    • Mr Joyce - Verified booking

Marshmere is a very warm comfortable spacious and light property. It has all you need in the kitchen. The cooker is now electric and not gas. The village and pubs are within easy walking distance and there is a short but nice walk to the local staithe which is behind the lovely church. The village is a pleasant stroll away with three pubs and this property is in a very good location for exploring the Broards. The village of Ludham is nearby with a nice walk to How Hill. A visit to nearby Horsey Mere is a must to see the seal colony.

    • Mr Knight - Verified booking

Decent property, but could be great with some TLC, too many little things wrong to recommend, great location, very quiet in the evenings, really close to Ferry Inn and 20mins walk into the centre of Horning, for the price it just falls short, spend a week going through it and it would be a great property, such a shame.

    • Mrs Elston - Verified booking

This property is spacious, well furnished and in a lovely location. The floors do creak quite a lot and more attention is needed to cleaning the outside furniture and balcony. However, because of the size and location of the property, I would return.
