What our customers say about their holidays

    • Lucy - Verified booking

We booked 3 nights at Coorie cottage - I wished we had booked longer!

We stayed as a family of 4. To start with the cottage is beautifully decorated, every detail feels like it has been expertly planned in each room, the colour schemes all coordinate and the walls are covered in beautiful framed photographs of the local areas with lovely soft furnishings. Lots of original features mixed with modern touches, it really is the most beautiful cottage! The main bathroom with its free standing bath and book and wine glass holder was brilliant at the end of a day at the beach or walking, both of which are so easily accessed from the cottage. Soft fluffy towels - and plenty of them! The ensuite is also great, with plenty of storage space, a spacious shower and plenty of hot water. The beds are really comfortable with beautiful linen and teddy fleece blankets for if it’s gets a bit chilly. Really peaceful area with minimal noise noticed from the road. Plenty of storage in the bedrooms and a huge closet in the main bedroom! With a lot of local pubs still being closed or open for outside dining only, we choose to eat back at the cottage in the evenings and the kitchen is so well equipped that it didn’t feel a chore. The owners have thought of everything you might need and then some more - there is even a slow cooker so you can throw something in before heading off out in the morning and return to a cooked meal and a thermos flask, for if you want to take a hot drink with you! Such thoughtful touches! There are some books, card games, board games, and televisions to entertain the children in the evenings and a comprehensive welcome folder with lots of helpful information about the cottage, village and local areas. Very generous welcome basket was waiting for us on arrival and touches such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc were included. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Coorie cottage and would absolutely love to return! One of the nicest holiday cottages, we have stayed in!

Coorie Cottage is gorgeous cozy and so homely The cottage was so well thought out when the owner decorated it everything matches beautifully and so tasteful.

Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and the whole cottage was very clean probably the cleanest holiday cottage we’ve rented so far and we have been to loads. The stairs are steep as stated not a problem at all for us, we used the stair gate supplied to stop our dogs going up stairs. The garden is lovely but for us having to pop our dogs on the lead to walk across the open shared path to get to the safe enclosed garden was a faff for us and such a shame it does tell you this in the write up but we went by one of the photos which showed the garden all fenced off, I think we would possibly not rebook because of this which is so disappointing as the beautiful cottage and the friendly neighbours and village is perfect for a return visit. Parking outside was never a issue for us, there’s lots of walks from the cottage or nearby and local shops within a few minutes walk, will miss a certain elderly gentleman that waved happily to us everyday as we passed. Thank you to Wendy and Dave for sharing your beautiful Coorie Cottage we have a fantastic week.

This was a lovely, comfortable cottage, which really had all the home comforts.

Great location to get to the beach, and the dog-friendly pub, literally round the corner was a bonus. Owners left a lovely Welcome Basket - which included a pint of milk (always a plus). Loved the high quality textiles and blinds, and the bed was really comfortable, which frankly should be a priority for all owners. Had a couple of questions for the owners, which were answered promptly. In all, a lovely, cosy, comfortable long weekend. My only gripe - and this is actually across the board for all cottages - whilst checking in at 4pm was ok for covid with the longer cleaning time needed, I have noticed that few owners have gone back to the 2/3pm check-in times, or don't even allow you to request an early check-in. I think being flexible on check-in, if the cottage is ready, would be an added bonus.

We stayed here at the beginning of November 2021 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We couldn’t find a single fault. The cottage was EXTREMELY clean, the attention to detail was fabulous every little thing was considered. The kitchen well equipped, both bathrooms spotless, all decor modern and well coordinated. Beds comfortable and cottage cosy. The stairs are a little steep but not a big concern, I was expecting them to be much worse from previous reviews. This leads me to another November review posted. I’d urge anyone considering booking coorie cottage to disregard the single unjustified negative review and definitely visit. The village is lovely, the owners are too, even left a very well enjoyed welcome pack on arrival. I’d say they went above and beyond our expectations. We’ve stayed in many holiday cottages and this is one of the best. We’ll be back again soon.

Beautifully furnished cottage in a great position for anyone wishing to visit the heart of the broads, Yarmouth, Norwich or beyond.

Parking was no real issue for us we always had a space outside the front door. Reasons for a slight mark down are that the garden was a little muddy which meant we needed to clean the floor often for the dog, but struggled to find enough cleaning products. Only 1 toilet roll in each bathroom provided and 1 bin bag meant we needed to buy our own - though this did mean another trip to Latham’s! It’s a very minor thing and easy to change, perhaps we are an anomaly that likes to clean the cottage as we enjoy our holiday. A fully stocked log store in the garden would’ve been welcome, it turned a little cold when we were there, however heating instructions are available. In summary a well furnished and decorated cottage, which we’d recommend with a few small changes. Thanks so much.
