A light and pleasant home in a lovely area where the neighbours we met were extremely friendly and helpful.
Lovely views from front bedroom windows of the sea between the houses opposite! On street parking was not a problem at all outside the house. A little welcome pack was a nice gesture from Liz who popped by to check on us and make sure everything was OK! A very friendly approachable lady. Home had recently been painted and new cupboards in the kitchen. For an older home it had a nice modern fresh feel whilst maintaining it's older charm The new Emma mattresses were comfy! Seating is rather low in the lounge but comfy once you get down there! We have to express our one concern about the wall in the back garden! A brick wall about 4ft high where the mortar has eroded away on both side s and is in my opinion needing urgent attention as it does move if you lean on it! I say this because if you take children and they climb on it to interact with the children next door it could potentially collapse or cause injury!! We did leave a note for liz with this concern and thought it necessary to highlight it here until this is investigated and remedied. Over-all we had a lovely week here and appreciate the effort to make us welcome by both Liz and Rachel Very clean and everything we needed a real home from home. Folders with information on places to go and see and things to do and even local takeaways which delivered. Towels were nice and thick and the bedding was lovely and fresh and had a comfortable feel. Liz does her utmost to provide and care for her guests.

We absolutely loved this house!
It is so comfortable, cosy and light. We had quite some rain during our stay but - as the house was such a nice place - this was really ok. The kitchen is equipped quite well. We missed a coffee maker (a little Nespresso machine for instance), a good sharp knife for meal prep and maybe some staples like salt, pepper and sugar. But other than that, the house was perfectly equipped. Enough towels etc, comfortable beds. And within walking distance of the nice, small city center. We loved to eat cake at Mannings and have dinner and a beer at the Royal Oak (folk music on Tuesdays!). The Co-Op is a well-equipped supermarket within walking distance. As for exploring Pembrokeshire, so nice that you already have this amazing view on Fishguard Bay just around the corner of the street. We had our drone with us and had a great time flying around there and elsewhere in the region. We did the Strumble Head and Dinas Head circular walks (both highly recommended), visited St. David's (also lovely) and had the best day at Skomer Island where the puffins couldn't be missed, walking past you within very close distance. We highly recommend Llys-Y-Gân! Thanks so much for having us.

We had a lovely 7 night stay at Llys-y-Gan in Fishguard.
It's a very nice well maintained detached house located on a quiet one-way residential street. There is ample on-street parking in front of the house. The house had everything needed for our stay with 3 bedrooms, a lounge and piano room, a spacious kitchen dining room. We had more than enough space for the 2 of us. There was a problem with the electric shower above the bath, but this was not a problem for us because after long walks along the lovely coastal path it was lovely to have a relaxing bath. The rear garden was nice to sit in the sun after our walks. Soon after we arrived one of the owners, Liz called to make sure everything was ok for us; she had also left a welcome tray of tea, coffee, Welsh cakes, bottle of wine, and milk in the fridge. Liz and her sister Rachel were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Llys-y-Gan to anyone wanting to stay in this part of lovely Pembrokeshire.

We noticed on arrival how spotlessly clean and comfortable the house was.
It is situated in a quiet one way avenue, so very little passing traffic and we managed to park right outside every time we returned each day. The owners had left us a pack of provisions to get us started and even called round the next day to see if everything was ok - a really nice touch! Fishguard is a small fairly quiet town (we were off season, so expected really), that is situated on the stunning Pembrokeshire coastal path - in fact within 2 minutes from the property, we were enjoying these spectacular views. The location is excellent for exploring the coastline (places like Mwnt Beach and Poppit Sands are not to be missed!). Further afield there is picturesque Tenby with a much recommended boat trip to Caldey Island. All in all we had an excellent holiday and would highly recommend this property and itâs location.

Llys-y-Gan is perfectly located a few minutes walk from the town centre, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets etc, but also close to the sea and the coast path.
Parking was never a problem even though it is Main Street. The owner(s) were very friendly and welcoming and it was nice to have tea, coffee, fresh milk and Welsh cakes awaiting out arrival. The neighbours and locals were all friendly and the whole area has a feel of being on holiday, luckily we had great weather. The house is a good size and it is a bonus to have a main lounge and an additional âmusicâ room (or quiet room!). We used the house as a base for both fishing and cycling as well as playing/practising music and of course enjoying the fine local establishments. The rear garden catches the sun until mid evening and it was so nice to sit outside and relax after a dayâs cycling. I would highly recommend Llys-y-Gan to anyone wishing to explore the area or even for enjoying a relaxing break.
