Carreg yr Eos is a well-loved cottage praised for its fantastic harbourside location in Fishguard, with easy access to amenities and dramatic coastline views. Guests appreciate the well-equipped space, comfortable beds, and modern bathrooms. The outdoor patio is a highlight for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Some concerns over comfort and maintenance are noted, but the charm and location often overshadow these.
The property generally seems well-kept, though one review mentioned dust, grit, and an infestation of ladybirds, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness. No other reviews raised cleanliness issues, so the score reflects a generally clean but not impeccable condition.
The location is consistently praised for its splendid views, proximity to the town, and accessibility to the coastline. The steep hill to town is noted but manageable, adding to the property's charm.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with mentions of comfy and warm beds. However, some guests found the settees uncomfortable, and there were concerns about accessibility for those with disabilities, which affects the comfort score.
Facilities are appreciated, with the cottage being well-equipped and having modern bathrooms. However, issues such as a slippery kitchen floor, a half-finished bathroom, and the need for a handrail are noted, indicating that maintenance could be improved.
There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews provided, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Perfect homely cottage in ideal location. Comfortable beds, everything you'd want is provided plus more eg maps, DVDs, books etc. lovely seating outside, photos don't do justice to the site and views. Info does refer to the steep hill up to the Upper Town but it's ok and I'm 72 and recovering from an op. The town is well worth visiting for food etc. but could be tricky in icy or slippy conditions.

Loved the location ,views lovely, house was lovely, and beds comfy , But chairs and settees not so comfy both myself and my husband are disabled and getting in and out of low chairs very difficult .!!No rugs or carpet in the kitchen made the floor very slippery, with very wet week !! Downstairs bathroom looks half finished, drying rail covered in dust and grit ,curtains in kitchen disgusting and too small. Also a hand rail needed by steps by the side of the house, especially at night, was quite dangerous !Plus spent most of the week removing infestation of ladybirds in pleats of curtains in bathrooms and kitchen. But my biggest burden was the smell of fire and smoke in the front room ,it has choked me and at times we had to shut the door and not use it !! Disappointed overall.
