"Arrived to a friendly welcome and a hamper of treats. We were looking for a base to go for walks and Willow Cottage was perfect for that, walks from the cottage and walks with a drive to see the sights of Dungeness and Camber. The cottage is well furnished and very comfortable, the entrance area is brilliant for removing boots and rubbing down a muddy tired dog. Was a very social layout which worked well when there was just 2 of us and also when my parents popped over for a couple of nights. Towels, bowls and a bed should they be required for the dog and a great touch providing throws for furniture as a dog used to sofas at home is hard to keep off over night so better to be prepared! A lovely private garden which would be lovely in the summer. Comfy beds and bathrooms, an array of Sky/wifi which is better than we have at home... Would thoroughly recommend Willow Cottage and if you do stay a takeaway from Mahdi Spice in Rye who deliver is a great option if you're not full from all the local dog friendly pub lunches."

"..we left two tied bin bags in the back yard as didn’t feel it was appropriate to leave it out the front. There didn’t appear to be any re-cycling bins although other properties did. WiFi would have been nice. There was a mop bucket but no mop so bought one and also no hand towels for toilets so bought those too. I contacted Sykes prior to holiday as it was my daughter’s birthday on the 1st Nov asking how well stocked the kitchen was and listed specific items so we could bring anything needed. I was in communication with Molly who was very polite and helpful. She contacted the owners who said that of the things listed all we needed was weighing scales. When we arrived there was no mixing bowl and no lasagne dish so had to buy these too which was disappointing. Other than that an ok cottage, clean and 10 minutes walk from the beach; very small but ok for a short break. The only other niggle was the washer/drier which washed but didn’t dry so we gave up in the end and used the airers that were on site."

"Just returned from a very relaxing and luxurious few days at Stonehouse Farm Cottage. Apart from the bumpy trek down the approach lane, the cottage location was beautiful with glorious views across woodlands; far from any roads and traffic noise. The cottage was extremely comfortable and equipped above and beyond what we had expected and Zoe was very helpful and chatty. We were met with a bottle of wine and tea and coffee to start our stay in style! We loved the walks literally from the door and especially across countryside to the wonderful Huntsman pub where we had a really tasty pub lunch. We would have no hesitation in returning to Stonehouse Farm Cottage."

"Lovely property, very clean and comfortable, really appreciated the cake, biscuits and apple juice on artival. Few minutes walk to the beach, which was very quiet (exactly what we wanted) although in summer and school holidays I’m sure it would extremely busy due to Holiday camp around the corner!) We would return. A couple of points that would have made a difference: there were no trays for the oven, we had to pick up numberous dog poos in the garden from a previous visitor before letting our dog out. There wasn’t an information booklet for house details, local amenities/services or a guest comments book. March 2018"

"Willow Cottage is a Fabulous home from home, lovely garden, Nina is a lovely , friendly , approachable owner who lives next door & very dog friendly. The setting is beautiful. It’s just less than 10 mins from Rye & the sea is about the same distance. We have stayed in holiday cottages for the past 15+ years & Willow Cottage has definitely been the best. It’s nicer than the photo’s & the Welcome Pack is fantastic (thank you Michael). Lovely places to eat in Rye The Old Grain Store for Breakfast is a must. The Ship is great for lunch/dinner. All in all we had a fabulous Two weeks."
