What our customers say about their holidays

    • Miss Knight - Verified booking

My partner and I had a really nice time, it's in such a lovely location. Very peaceful and quiet. . You're surrounded by animals and a lovely Pony that's so friendly! We really enjoyed the hot tub The fire pit was lovely, just what we needed on our final night watching the stars. Its a short 15 minute drive to shops like Aldi and Sainsbury's and morrisons, however 8 minutes the other way takes you to a lovely village called cheddar. Danni recommend a Chinese too us which was just amazing. Quality was great. We didn't get to meet the owners due to them being away at the same time however their daughter who was there managing sorted out everything and was a great host. If you're tall, just watch out for the tv placed on the inside of the pod as its easy to catch your head on! The only negative was there was no actual power in the shower. The water just trickled out with no pressure so we really struggled to shower and there was no hot water. So showering with cold water was a bit harsh in the cold weather but other than that it was great! Thanks for having us♡

Our hosts were very cordial and obliging.

The barn was perfect for our needs and as our main requirement was to bring the cat, a request that was freely granted, we were very happy indeed. The Barn is tastefully furnished and is very spacious and comfortable. It is silent despite its reasonably close proximity to some busy roads and sitting outside in the courtyard was ideal for meditation and quiet reflection. We received a visit from some friends and our hosts provided extra seating, a tablecloth, a parasol and freshly picked sweet peas! The views from the Barn are wonderful and with its bucolic setting I would recommend it to anyone with a love for the countryside. The surrounding hills provide superb views over Wales, Devon and a large portion of Somerset. They are easy to negotiate and yet have a feeling of the wild and the remote. The views down to the valley reveal the Arcadian setting of The Barn with the nearby, very elegant village church and surrounding farms. All in all, superb!

      A lovely renovated barn.

Small gravelled garden with double gates which made it very secure for our two westies. Good kitchen downstairs that is very well equipped with everything you should need, even had sharp knives which I find is a rarity. Smart tv so Netflix’s etc once you’ve logged in. Our only fault and for us it was a major one was the BED! The mattress to say the least was a very basic coil sprung one when it was bought and offered no support at all. So much in fact that we had to buy 2 cheap duvets which we put on top which helped a little but still caused us broken sleep and back ache, so much so that we left a day early. It was a real shame as everything else is a really good quality but for us a good bed is vital. We mentioned this to the owners and really hope they address this with a decent supportive mattress. Once this is done it will be 5 stars like it deserves

Visited the cabin as a birthday present for my boyfriend and it was absolutely lovely. Very clean inside and a good use of space with a kitchenette equipped with stove top, convection microwave oven, sink, toaster, kettle and fridge. The bed was extremely comfy and the whole place was cosy and warm at all times. The location is perfect with many walking routes to admire the beautiful views, and it is well located for a trip to cheddar/wooky hole (10 min drive) or western-super-mare (20 mins). There are a few shops around to get food supplies and a number of lovely friendly pubs all within walking distance, some that serve food. Would recommend the lamb inn in Axbridge. The hot tub was an amazing addition, we really enjoyed relaxing in it at night. All round amazing trip and would definitely recommend this place if looking for a peaceful but fun get away.

We had a wonderful week at the pod, surrounded by Beautiful countryside scenery & we met very pleasant people on site & off. We were greeted with a welcoming smile & directed to our accommodation by Danni & informed that if we required anything, we just had to ask. The accommodation was very comfortable & everything we needed was on hand. This holiday will be remembered for all the right reasons, after our week's holiday we came away totally relaxed & satisfied. We recommend this holiday location to anyone. We feel that we got a great holiday at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be going back as this is a beautiful place to stay, with wonderful people around. If you need a break, time away, time to relax, try this place, we are sure you will not be disappointed. HAPPY DAY'S.
