The National Trust managed Gawthorpe Hall is in the nearby town of Padiham, Towneley Hall Museum and Park are close by or you may wish to explore the town’s waterways with a walk or boat trip along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. The Singing Ringing Tree Panopticon is only a short drive away on the nearby moors. The market towns of Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley are nearby, and Haworth which was made famous by the Bronte sisters.
