To the exterior, you and your loved ones can look forward to savouring the glorious countryside setting whilst enjoying a relaxing, soothing soak in the hot tub. Completing the ground floor is the master bedroom, with its super-king-size bed and en-suite shower room. Upstairs there is a second bedroom with zip'n'link twin beds (or request for super king size) and its own en-suite shower room. If you can tear yourself away from this delightful abode, head into the nearby town of Llandeilo, which is set in the heart of the Towy Valley and has an interesting selection of individual shops, galleries and eateries, or travel slightly further afield to the historic town of Carmarthen, which is home to a larger selection of amenities to enjoy. The surrounding area is known as the Garden of Wales, so you can expect a plethora of gardens to explore, including the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney, a garden lost in time, or if you are bringing two-wheels along, look forward to the network of mountain bike trails within the Brechfa Forest. For those feeling active, find plenty of outdoor action here too, with the River Towy offering great salmon and sewin fishing, whilst the many woodland walks offer opportunities to catch glimpses of wildlife, including red kites, owls, badgers and deer. Alternatively, travel further afield towards the Gower Peninsula, which plays host to an array of stunning beaches, including Three Cliffs Bay and Rhossili Bay, whilst the Black Mountain and Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons National Park) are just a scenic drive away, ideal for any avid ramblers. With the magnificent Towy Valley surrounding, Gwennol Cottage is an exceptional base for that long-awaited holiday in Wales.

Llandeilo is a bustling town resting amidst the Carmarthenshire countryside resting proudly on a hill above the River Tywi, the longest river that flows entirely through Wales. Within the town, you will find a good selection of unusual gift shops, eating places and pubs, whilst visits to the medieval Dinefwr and Carreg Cennen Castles add to the charm. The Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons National Park) and the Black Mountains are a walker's delight, whilst the Gower Peninsula plays host to an array of beaches.

Mandy and Kevin have a beautiful place, imacculately clean inside and out with stunning views and lovely welsh weather too! The dog excersise area was a great bonus and the cottage was kitted out perfectly. There was a really handy information pack inside which was really thoughtful, along with bara brith and a bottle of wine on arrival. The hot tub was lovely and used many times, rain or shine, with fantastic views to boot. Plenty around in the local areas to explore and further afield too. Diolch yn fawr both for your kind hospitality. We will be back!

The cottage was spotless and the beds were very comfortable; my partner enjoyed the hot-tub on several occasions. The facilities for our dogs were excellent - a separate area close by to exercise them was very welcome, especially with the inclement weather. Towels and bed linen were provided, and a welcome pack of wine, milk, bara brith and coffee were a very considerate provision. We would definitely recommend this cottage

It is one of the best cottages we have stayed in; quiet, private, clean, comfortable and with great views. It had everything we needed. The hot tub was also a welcome treat after spending the day walking. There were 2 other cottages on site as well as the owner”s home but it did not feel overcrowded, noisy or overlooked. We very briefly saw the other guests during our stay. The owner, Mandy, welcomed us on the first day and we knew they were available if any issues. We would highly recommend Gwennol Cottage and we are already looking to rebook in the near future. Thank you Mandy and Kev. Vanessa and Andrew
