Stunning house, tranquil setting and alot bigger than I thought.
All rooms were more than adequate for our personal needs. En suite bathroom is luxurious. Family bathroom equally as nice, with a bath and separate shower. The whole family enjoyed the property as the kids were kept entertained in the games room, the adults had a relaxing time in the hot tub and sat outside chilling with a few drinks. There are a couple of really minor issues. 1. Games room, arcade machine was great for the kids, but we had no idea which buttons were A B C D etc, maybe a laminate on wall to indicate which button is which. 2. Family bathroom the plug needs fixing in the bath. As I said really minor, did not affect the overall quality of the house. Also thank you again Alan for the surprise visit with the Christmas gift, was very welcome, hopefully we would like to return at some stage.

We have just returned from a week staying in one of the âcottagesâ.
As someone has already said they are not your typical holiday cottages. But they are FABULOUS. They are fairly modern, with everything that you could possibly want. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage. It was very spacious. One of the bedrooms had a lovely Juliet balcony overlooking the lake. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything youâd need. The cottage was very clean when we arrived and we had a great welcome from Bernadette. The cottages are near the canal- a nice walk. Convenient for visiting places such as Minehead, Wells, Glastonbury Burnham-on-Sea and Dunster etc. Shops just a short drive away- M and S at the motorway services and a Co-op. We would definitely stay again.

Our holiday cottage was brilliant.
It was modern, clean and positioned well for day trips. Could do with a few more kitchen bits like utensils. But cannot fault the set up at all. As for Sykes, booking online was easy with them. They are pretty useless after that. I asked for the address to arrange a good delivery and they gave me the incorrect address. They also tried to tell me checkout time was 9am and they said the cottage owners would not change it. When we booked, check out time was 10. However, when we arrived, checkout time was 10, so not sure why Sykes insisted we had to be out earlier!

We were two families staying at the cottage.
The property was large with plenty of space and the games room was a great addition and a hit with the kids. It was also nice to have access to the hot tub at no extra cost. Whilst there were two separate showers, they could only really be used one at a time otherwise one was a bit cold... The property was in a good central location to visit Devon and surrounding Somerset. The booking process and access to the cottage was very straightforward and the owners were very helpful with any queries we had. On the whole, would recommend!

The house was beautiful, clean, warm and comfortable and had everything we needed to cook our own meals. Our house had a lovely view of the lake and it was relaxing to see the autumn colours every day. Bernadette phoned ahead of our visit to make our check-in easy and she couldn't have been more helpful. I would happily return at the drop of a hat.
