What our customers are saying about our Big Cottages In The United Kingdom To Rent.

"It could be fantastic with a few adjustments. In both the twin rooms upstairs only 1 of the skylights had working blinds. And the windows that did have blinds, the blinds were light coloured so didn’t really do anything to keep the light out. My children were up with the sun every morning and so were we. I booked the cottage on the premise that there was WiFi available. It was definitely one of the main criteria when we were looking for accommodation. We have small children who go to bed early and we wanted to watch films on the computer. Also, they like to relax with their kindles after a busy day exploring. Unfortunately, there was no WiFi available in Goose Cottage. I really feel that this cottage cannot be advertised as WiFi enabled and feel quite angry that it is not as advertised. We asked the vendors and were told they had someone coming Monday. There was still no WiFi when we left. On the other hand, my children thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals everyday and the owner was lovely with the children. Very patient with the thousand questions asked. I feel quite bad with the low scores as most things were great, but our main criteria wasn’t sufficiently met."

"The focus of our break was a concert at Snape maltings, so 5 minutes away by car, yet utterly peaceful - couldn’t be better. Perfect for our dog too with the large, safe garden and plenty of walks to hand. As the weather was so beautiful over Easter, we too appreciated the garden which is well equipped with comfortable seating. One suggestion - in the Spring, particularly with a good weather forecast, As well as the welcome pack of goodies, we appreciated the ample stocks of kitchen towel, loo roll, washing &cleaning materials - so important when shops are at a distance - besides, who wants to bother on holiday?! The separate wine/beer fridge and the dining room canteen of cutlery (not that we used the latter) were very impressive - a first in any property we’ve been in! Finally, a big tick for the superbly comfy bed. I usually return from trips with my back aching for my own bed - not this time!"

"Goose Cottage was amazing! Pat and her Son Alastair were lovely people, very welcoming and friendly on arrival - nothing was too much trouble. The cottage itself was lovely and clean with all of the equipment we needed for our family holiday. The garden areas were lovely, Pat fed the animals each morning and the children (and adults) were able to join in the fun!The facilities on site were great - a lovely garden area with bench just outside the back door, the pool, the tennis court and a playground which the children in our group loved. Plenty of fields locally too so you could go for a walk in the day or evening if you wanted to and enjoy the views of the sunset. We'd highly recommend Goose Cottage and the other Cottages at Quinceborough Farm. We had relatives who stayed in another at the same time as us and they loved it too!"

"Very comfortable for a family holiday. Lovely, remote and quiet location, super views; extremely peaceful. Generally well equipped with what's necessary, albeit functional rather than cosy. Perhaps an extra set of tableware wouldn't go amiss. Very spacious overall and generous rooms. Very light. Dont know if possible with the water supply but an upgrade to the shower pressure would be welcome.Super friendly and flexible caretaker.Instructions how to find (we arrived in the dark) weren't entirely useful to find the last turn. Just need to update on the site, as it's properly signposted once you get far enough."

"Amazing & beautiful cottage that has been converted well & disabled friendly. It was extremely well equipped & very clean with enough room for our family. We knew when booking the cottage was off the beaten track, the views did not disappoint. Loved having the sheep near by the night before they were sheared. Lovely cream tea to arrive to after a long journey. Hosts were welcoming, friendly and left us to enjoy our holiday. We visited a variety of different places both south & north Devon. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay at The Foxes Larder."
