I have booked with you before and upon entering I have said this is lovely, I did not get this feeling with cottage, It just did not look as nice as it looked on booking.

It looked rather dull a couple of the chairs in the living room one looked rather dirty, the other had stains and even the sofa coverings looked in need of a wash the sofa was a little tired. The fire glass was black you could not see it when lit it was in need of a good clean. My preference when it comes to towels in rented places they should be white, like the bedding that was lovely clean and white. The cooker hood had not been given a clean for quite sometime so was the cottage give a full COVID CLEAN in the first place. The hoover was full of dirt it had not been emptied for us. I left a note for the owner about that and the cooker hood. I was under the impression with COVID all places are given a more thorough clean, and I feel this was not a shame really because it is a nice cottage and with the Steam Train running at the back it really could be a beautiful place if only give just a quick coat of paint more where the fire is because the ceiling has not been done when that fire was put in. Sorry to complain but if people keep writing in the visitors book all is lovely things will never be sorted.

This is a really good property at a good price in a great location.

The back garden would be great in the summer and the Speyside Way and other walks aren't far away. The bird table had collapsed but I out good out for the birds and plenty came which was an additional blessing. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had a good range of crockery and utensils and the bungalow is cosy and well insulated once it has warmed up. The heating takes a bit of getting used to and the hot water situation was neither fully explained nor was it very good; if there had been a family of six, would there be enough hot water for everyone to shower, and some people might want a bath especially as it was hard to shower properly without messing up the floor; but it really wasn't that hot even if you planned things a couple of hours in advance. Nonetheless, I think it was a great property at a reasonable price and I would go back there again

Very much enjoyed our stay here!

The cottage is well equipped and is modern in furniture and decor. The kitchen is well equipped with every utensil you need! Lovely large American fridge-freezer which also supplies iced water, ice cubes and crushed ice (same as one wee have at home, so a nice surprise!). Believe microwave is incorporated in grill, but we didn’t use it. We only used the main bedroom but it is of a good size and having an en-suite was a bonus! Bed is super king and very comfortable! Living room has 2 leather couches and a single chair. A large wall-mounted Smart TV is fitted which has a limited amount of channels, but iPlayer is available. A problem with heating was quickly sorted out directly with the owner. The cottage is in a quiet residential area and has a lovely large secluded back garden.

A great base for a multi-generational family visit to the highlands.

Kitchen really well equipped, with a fab huge table that easily fitted all 7 of us round. Utility room was PERFECT for drying soggy ski gear: toasty warm boots the next morning! Beds lovely and comfortable, and good showers. Log fires were a bonus treat. The porch and garden room offered nice opportunities for quieter times, too. Only slight issue was the relatively small snug / living room - very cosy if we were all in there, but not always great angles for watching tv. But after a long day skiing, it wasn’t a big deal. Plus the lovely footstool / seat was great for achy legs. House is well located for walking into town for supplies / beers, and great parking. Would have been nice to have used the garden table, but February weather was against us (unsurprisingly).

Cottage was ideally located and suited to our party of golfers.

Everything was clean and a nice big well equipped kitchen. Owners helpful and pleasant to deal with. If there was one issue of criticism it would be of the Sykes Holiday Cottages business method. A week before leaving I was concerned about not being able to have any direct contact with owners (had in the past turned up at a booked cottage and been unable to gain access). The only way of contacting Sykes was by way of text which they responded to some hours later. They were reluctant to provide contact details for owner and best they could do was provide an out of hours number for Sykes. However, some days later they then did send a final email ........... which did contain the owners contact details so all was good. Seemed a strange way of conducting business.
