What our customers say about their holidays

      Lovely house.

So well equipped. Comfortable and homely. Once settled we didn’t feel it was too big for the 2 of us and our dog however there is plenty room for bigger parties. Unusually there was no welcome pack. For the fee a small welcome pack would have been appreciated. We had a few small issues with cleanliness that we passed onto the cleaners after our holiday, however the issues did not impact our stay. Lovely secure garden for our dog. There is also a patio area with table and chairs. Fantastic forest walks from the door. Very quiet area which helped us to relax. We have been holidaying in Aviemore for nearly 20 years, we just love it. Great area with so much to see and do. We had such a great week and enjoyed what the house offered, we’re already booked up for next year.

      Very good accommodation.

Good kitchen with plenty of appliances and I appreciated the gesture of the bottle of wine left for me . Very kind .Only comment I would make is, that I would like to have recycled food waste and paper etc. but there was no specific bins for this like I have at home. The blue bins that were there were full and overflowing and I actually tidied up discarded rubbish left around the bins after they were emptied on bin collection day. It looks as if the bins hadn't been emptied the week before and people had just left cardboard boxes and other stuff lying beside them. I had a very good holiday and the area was really quiet and peaceful despite most of the surrounding houses being occupied. I would recommend Burnside House.

We had a fantastic stay at Burnside House!

It was our 5th visit to Aviemore but first time staying at Burnside - we will definitely book again. Can't fault this house at all. It was spotless on arrival, had everything you need, comfy couches and beds, fenced in back garden, quiet area, plenty of walks nearby (our dog loved it!) and was close enough to town if you wanted to pop into shops/restaurants etc. Spoke to the owner briefly re. a question with the fire - she was super friendly and approachable. I would not hesitate booking this house again :)

Nice house, clean with good amenities (and a big fridge!

) but missing hot tub from original listing which is why we picked it above another house available when choosing. This house is a new build set in a housing estate and though pleasant enough, next door have some building works going on at the bottom of their garden and so there is hammering etc from 8.30am onwards. At the moment I am regretting this choice over a more isolated cottage which is our usual pick.

Excellent house with high spec finish everywhere.

Well stocked kitchen, lovely bedding and super-cosy; wood burning stove not needed for heat but always great for winter nights … especially after a hot tub soak. We didn’t have our dog on this trip but impressive consideration to dog friendly garden etc. if there is a downside, you are a good distance from the centre but the quiet, countryside feel makes up for that! Highly recommend staying at Burnside.
