"The best feature of this house is it being completely detached and private with glorious views of the distant Snowdonia mountains. The large wood-burning fireplace dominates the living room, not a pleasant feature really, unless lit. The weather did warrant it at times, but the supplied lighter needed batteries and with just 3 logs, not really enough to bother with. The background heating was welcome for the mornings, with the use of an additional portable radiator. The window in the bathroom was impossible to close and let in a lot of cold air which had to be combated with having the fan-heater on quite a bit. We are not ones to watch TV very much, but saw no point in having a large flat-screen TV when there's no signal and no advice given about it in the guests' folder. Had someone called initially it could have perhaps been explained, but with a broken Sky changer and 2 others relevant to the make of TV, we considered it would have been better not to provide a TV set. Why have it listed in the cottage details? To be marooned indoors in inclement weather is a little miserable with the rather strange design of fairly elderly upholstered chairs, all (including the sofa) with no head-support.The cooking facility is good, with excellent-quality saucepans necessary for the ceramic hob and thankfully a spacious fridge-freezer. There is little space though in the kitchen area, the microwave having to be sited across the draining board. The separate work-bench for food preparation is a boon though. The outside space for children is good, and the weather-proof picnic table on the lawn, comfortable chairs are needed really though, as mentioned in a few visitors' comments as otherwise take the wooden chairs outside with a cushion- not ideal. The use of the Leisure Club was a real bonus, we all loved going nearly every day. We did have a walk each day, from the door and also one from a nearby village, also another in the Snowdon range."

"Cottage is in a quiet, off road location, yet only three minutes' drive from nearest village, where there is a decent pub (The Crown), and ten minutes' drive from Prestatyn. There are stables and horses on site, and the owners have a friendly though large dog, and cat. We received a warm welcome with milk and a lovely cake provided, and chat when we passed throughout the week. The cottage is quite spread out and felt a bit big initially for us as a couple, but we soon got used to this! The cottage does sleep four and would be plenty big enough for this size group. There is a large garden, which we didn't use but would be great for a family in the summer. It was always warm when we came in at night - great on the days it was chillier.Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Toilet did smell a bit (this may have been the septic tank) and there were one or two cobwebs. The shower floor is quite thin and moves when you are in it, and the bathroom would benefit from an extra towel rail - it didn't feel as if there was quite enough towel space for the two of us (and I think this would be more the case with four). But these are minor things, and we really enjoyed our stay and our week."

"The cottage is lovely, everything you would want for a holiday in the area, it was well equipped with a lot of the little things you need, particularly in the kitchen. Parking is fine for one car, no long run-in with all your gear. The garden and siting area is good too, very quiet and a good pub bench table. We were there just out of season and some of the places in Towyn hadn't really got going, including the Wendover pub and restaurant, not serving food all week. When they did it was excellent. The immediate area is all static caravans, and most of the pubs and eating places rough and ready not for a family meal really, lots of dodgy characters hanging about outside, not so welcoming. The area beyond Towyn is beautiful, head west to Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and Conwy for great days out and inland for the countryside. So it's a shame Towyn itself is so badly developed with the static caravans and all a bit run down because the cottage is perfect."

"Condition of this property was appalling, upstairs banister was separated from newel post, exceedingly dangerous. Upstairs toilet seat fell off. Half the bulbs all over cottage did not work. No light working in downstairs toilet, but one bulb had been broken leaving half the bulb sticking out, so if anyone touches this you will get a dreadful electric shock. On arrival refuse bins overflowing and bags of rubbish piled up. White settees badly stained and torn. Coverings on chair seats worn off. Upper cupboard in kitchen fell off and hit me on the head. Kettle lid would not shut, found second one but you had to hold the on switch for it to work. Dish washer had not worked for over a year. Oven filthy. No vacuum so had to borrow neighbours. Could not open patio doors, no key, could not open front door, no key. Worst stay l have had anywhere. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND."

"A lovely cottage with upstairs lounge and kitchen with adjacent toiletand downstairs bedrooms and bath/shower room in a very rural setting.....hence the 6 for local amenities. Need to drive 4 or so miles to nearest shop etc. Spectacular views over the vale from the lounge. The cottage was modern and impeccably finished with excellent white goods including new washing machine, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. Induction hob, electric oven, kettle, toaster and microwave complete the list. Sufficient of everything for four with free wifi........router actually in the cottage. Lots to do locally or farther afield.....Chester was easy on a wet day and the Great Orme in Llandudno was windy on another occasion! We are likely to revisit in a different season. Hosts were very welcoming and provided a lovely welcome pack."
