"As the cottage is located in a small cul-de-sac, it feels private and quiet and there is parking for two cars. The cottage is only a couple of years old, so is very modern, with the rooms being of a good size and very light. The kitchen has everything you could need including separate fridge and freezer and dishwasher. The bathroom has a good double shower (over bath) and the enclosed garden has a gas barbecue and garden furniture on the decking for warmer days. We found milk, biscuits, tea bags, coffee and sugar waiting for us, which was really helpful. There is a village pub, only a couple of minutes walk away, along with a small shop (open every day), butchers and chip shop (Tuesday to Sunday Evenings) and where is a good feel to the village and the people seem friendly. We took our collie, but we could only find one grass area, to walk him in the village, as there is a small children's playing area in a side street only about a five minute walk from the cottage (this was useful early morning and late evenings). But we were able to take our dog on Par Beach (you need to pay for parking) and there is a wetlands park (with duck pond and grass area), within 10 minutes drive. The location of S40061 is really good if you wish to visit Fowey, Mevagissey, Charlestown Bodmin or the eden project as they are all within 40 minutes drive away. There are large supermarkets in Bodmin and St Austell, if you need them. We only had one issue, during our stay - as we found that the wifi never had enough signal and the TV would go funny at times, so we missed parts of TV programmes. But on the plus side, we had no problems using our mobile phones, while we were in the cottage and this is normally an issue in Cornwall."

"This two storey apartment has the most wonderful views over the Fowey estuary, a perfect place to relax and watch boats coming and going. We found it very easy just to chill out in the lovely light filled upstairs room or the sunny patio outside. It's just a short stroll into the centre of Fowey with it's interesting local shops, pubs and cafes. We took the ferry across to Polruan to walk up the estuary on circular walk and another day walked the coastal path in the opposite direction. You don't need to use the car here to have a good holiday. The single parking space is a bit tight, so a large car might find it a bit challenging. The house is well appointed with comfy beds, two good bathrooms and a kitchen we cooked in most nights. However, there are plenty of eateries close by if you don't fancy cooking. We will be returning next year."

"We are regulars to Fowey so know the area well. After our accommodation was cancelled we were rebooked into this cottage, we wouldn't have picked it initially due to the location and my mother being in her mid 60's with bad knees but it was great. The house is cosy and homely and has everything you could need, we are used to a super king sized bed so did find it cosy in the double and it could do with being upgraded to a king but it was fine for the weekend. The cottage is only a few minutes walk to the centre and the hills didn't cause any issues, this is a great house and I wouldn't hesitate to book it again."

"We had a lovely fortnight at S40061!! We were so pleased with the accommodation, it was clean, spacious and comfortable, a real home from home!We liked that you could walk to the local amenities and there were lots of interesting places to explore in a close vicinity. It was an added bonus that the garden was fully enclosed as we took our dog with us.It was obvious to see the owners had put a lot of thought into everything, it really was perfect and we would highly recommend staying there."

"I can't imagine a more perfect property to stay in for exploring Cornwall. The view when you first walk in takes your breath away. There are special details on arrival: the radio playing, tea & coffee readily available, and lovely cake . Only a short walk takes you down to the harbour, shops and restaurants. I think this property is more for adults than children as there is a sharp drop off the veranda, but so lovely to sit out there watching the boats pass by."
