"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at S122815. Our excellent hosts (in the adjacent barn conversion) Bill and Betty made sure that we had everything we needed. A spacious and well equipped kitchen diner and a very comfortable lounge provides an excellent base to relax. Together with a utility room and downstairs loo there is everything that you would possibly need. Upstairs is equally impressive with a large double bedroom and another large bedroom with 3 singles (and more floor space for another!) With a good sized bathroom with bath and separate shower you can't go wrong. Another plus is that there are windows on both sides of the kitchen and lounge so you get the benefit of morning and evening sun. The garden is great with lovely views over the lake. Not too far from the Exe Estuary cycle trail - a brilliant cycle (or walk) in alongside the canal to Exeter Quay and an amazing cycle track alongside the river and railway in the direction of Dawlish. Not to mention ferries at Topsham, Turf and Starcross ....enjoy!"

"Warm and well laid out. Helped out when we needed help with a broken DVD. Lovely people. Close drive to Morehampton (10 mins) for supermarket, café, shops etc. Ideal position for our daily trips out.The property does have problems with guttering's at the front and back, with one even directing the rainfall onto an electricity housing cupboard. The gutters were leaking and noisy, keeping us awake on the many rainy, windy nights we spent there. (we don't blame them for the poor weather, just some maintenance required!)Annoying that several places were shut at that time of the year and an inept member of staff at the visitor centre in Morehampton, but great time again at Powdermills Pottery (ceramic pot and glass bowl bought, tea, cake and a chat with Joss always a pleasure), Central Café/gallery (lovely exhibition, wall tiles bought), Bovey Tracey Devon Guild of Crafts and Bovey Handloom Weavers (great jumper bought)."

"We chose S122815 not only for its proximity to Exeter (15 minute drive), but also because it's one of only a few holiday homes that accept dogs but aren't based on working farms. The barn is gorgeous - spacious, well laid out, and furnished with everything we needed for a short break. All the fittings are of a high standard and the place is kept spotlessly clean by the two wonderful caretakers, Bill and Betty, who live across the yard. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and while they're quite happy to keep out of your way they're also great company and have plenty of advice on things to see and do locally. If you're a dog owner or not, this is a great place to visit. It's worth driving for 5 minutes to get to the best local beauty spots as there's only a fishery right on the doorstep, but we honestly couldn't have hoped for a better base. We very much hope to be back, if there's still availability this year!"

"Had a lovely few days in this charming S18782 - ideal for the two of us and our old Golden Retriever, who loved lying out in the courtyard in the sunshine. Ideally situated for touring around Dartmoor & the South Hams, and nearby Moretonhampstead has some great dog-friendly pubs & cafes (had one of the best pub meals ever in The Horse) as well as a well-stocked Co-op, open until 10pm. Wi-fi worked fine for us (admittedly we weren't gaming or streaming videos, but who wants that on a break in the country anyway?). Pam and Alison are lovely, welcoming hosts who clearly work hard to ensure the lodges are well-equipped and comfortable (including home-baked cakes, flowers and fresh milk on arrival). Spotless bathroom/shower, comfy bed, lots of woodland to explore with the dog, and excellent TV/freesat. One of the best places we've stayed and we plan to go back."

"Excellent cottage for families-very large combined dining & living room and kitchen with really useful safe balcony looking out over large grassed back garden-the garden is perfect for children to play on whilst the adults sit watching them from the balcony.Excellent private hot tub (perfect for relaxing in after a hard days sightseeing) and bonus of shared fairly warm heated swimming pool and games room with pool table and dart board.Brilliant reasonably quiet location although traffic noise can be heard from nearby A30-this would not put us off from staying here again. We originally booked the more expensive Sundance cottage due to the "Tikki bar" area out back but really pleased we changed to S60011 due to the large rear garden ideal for our 2 year old granddaughter to wear herself out in.Many thanks to Sheila and her staff for a wonderful stay!"
